Stinky garbage bins and no elevator
Two clear positives: 1) location is supreme - right in the heart of the old town and yet insulated from all the street noise; 2) the unit is large, bright and clean.
Two major negatives, which forced to leave on the second day: 1) the building's garbage bins are at the bottom of the stairs and the stench was felt all the way to the fourth floor where the unit is located, to the point where we had to hold our breath and pinch our noses to make it to our door; 2) it's the fourth floor in the building with high ceilings and no elevator - our family is fit but even we got winded by the time we reached our floor, especially if you are trying to hold your breath as the stairs stink from the garbage bins at the bottom - not for anyone with physical issues or disabilities. Unsurprisingly - but most annoyingly - none of that is mentioned in the unit's description. I myself is from Eastern Europe and grew up with stinky garbage bins and no elevators - and I am also very cheap - but even I couldn't stand it, as these two nuisances were ruining our vacation and ultimately were not worth the money we were saving by not staying at a hotel. We moved out on the second day and checked into a hotel instead, even though we still had 5 more days left there and couldn't get our money back.
