「We had a fabulous weekend. The cottage was very easy to find, a short walk from the free car park and a stroll to the main street and many pubs, shops and eateries in Burford. The cottage is cosy but spacious for a family, with a well equipped kitchen and three comfortable bedrooms. We ate at the Farmer's Dog, the Bull and the Lamb Inn, all of which were great. 「The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We felt they were willing to help out whenever it was needed and always with a smile. The room was lovely with a large walk in shower. It had just been renovated. The breakfast was delicious and I really liked that we could choose alternatives to the full English. We had lunch there with some friends and it was very nice. Dinner was also good but we didn't feel up to a full meal.」

「Our room was on the first floor, above the pub. You can probably imagine how busy it can get at night. We can clearly hear everything from downstairs which make us cannot sleep. The whole building is old 」

「The place is idilic but there were a couple of flaws in the room (Dove Cote) that did nit make it for a prefect anniversary: 1) the room was too warm upon arrival and could not be cooled down due to the bathroom’ radiators being on with the towel one being very hot without ant controls to shut it down; 2) the toilet had to be actioned several times to get it to flush (very annoying)! Fixing these 2 things would make it for s very pleasant stay here. Best luck to the next guests.」

「We enjoyed our stay overall, there’s a decent pub 2 mins away. Some basic items missing, garden furniture needs renovation, the upper stairs are precarious, use caution, one of our guests had a nasty fall. 」
