Gite Troglodyte Atypique - Suite du Ciel, view on the Loire - near the castles

At the foot of the Rochecorbon Lantern, with sensational views of the Loire, this property offers a unique troglodyte stay. It includes a kitchen, a living space and a private terrace - and also, linen and towels, general cleaning, wifi, and all taxes.

This troglodyte is located near the top of the hill (access by stairs), offering a secluded and sensational view. This cottage is ideal for two, but can accommodate up to four people with a foldout sofa bed (140cm). It includes a fully equipped kitchen: oven, four-burner stove, microwave, dishwasher, espresso machine (Tassimo), toaster and kettle, living area with dining table and seating area, bedroom with bed double (160cm), bathroom (ensuite) with Italian shower, private terrace, and garden.

Rochecorbon benefits from the classification in the world heritage of UNESCO, it is 55 mins from Paris by TGV, and Tours airport is 10 minutes. We are close to the A10, easily connecting you to the rest of the Loire and the rest of France.

Whether your stay is long or short, there will always be something to discover and enjoy here in Rochecorbon and the surrounding area.
Rochecorbon offers a rich experience of history and the outdoors, including bike paths, walking routes and river experiences. Here in Rochecorbon, you can easily discover gastronomy, wine, eat in nearby restaurants, visit the shops of local artisans and the markets.

It was our first time staying in a troglodyte, and it was fun! Our host was very helpful and communicated with us easily, having all of her documents in English. You have to be in shape to access the cave with the steep stairs, but we liked the workout. The views from this place were amazing!

So unique

We checked a very cool box by starting in this adorable troglodyte apartment. The property manager was accommodating and offered great communication, going out of her way to meet us outside so we knew exactly where to go. This is a unique apartment with beautiful views! We would definitely do this again! Highly recommend!

Beautiful view, great location

We stayed here for six nights and would definitely stay again. The gite is exactly as it was portrayed in the photos. Julie, our host, was very helpful and responsive to our questions. The gite was comfortable with everything needed for two people. We loved sitting out on the terrace and looking out over the river while having breakfast or an Apero. There is a wonderful bakery in the center of town for getting morning croissant, and we had a fabulous dinner at a local restaurant called Le Part Belle. There were also some lovely walking trails around the town, both along the river and up in the vineyards, that we enjoyed. It is a little hike up to the gite, but it was a good way to get in more steps. Parking was safe and easy down on the Quai. Thank you!

Un bonheur !

Expérience troglodytique extra, un gîte avec une belle surface, une chouette terrasse avec vue magnifique, un « nid d’aigle » tout confort et wifi fonctionnel. Un peu sportif d’y accéder mais quand vous êtes chez vous, vous êtes seuls au monde. Les hôtes sont très gentils, accueil parfait et toujours avec le sourire . Nous conseillons vivement le petit déjeuner proposé, pains et viennoiseries tout frais nous ont régalé, à tel point que nous ne mangions quasiment pas à midi. Formidable!!!

What a wonderful experience. The village is lovely, the Gite is exactly how described: quaint, spacious, and even bright! 400m from a patisseries, small grocery, and bus stop with easy access to Tours. Julie is warm, accessible, and very helpful. Place is perfect for a couple, and even with a small child. HIGHLY recommend...and am already thinking how I can return with family next time!

Great experience in Rochecorbon

Julie was so very helpful and responsive with any questions or requests. She provided great recommendations for restaurants and things to see in the area. You must ask for the breakfast and Julie brought this up each morning. Was great to sit out on the patio, have a French breakfast. Rochecorbon was very relaxed and what we needed. Expérience dépaysante

Dormir dans une chambre troglodyte est une expérience dépaysante. Il y règne un calme, une sensation d'être retiré de tout, enfoui dans la terre qui invite à retrouver un sommeil de bébé. Mais notre troglo était en hauteur et dès le réveil, depuis la terrasse, la vue sur la Loire était magnifique. Notre séjour a été un peu gâché par une météo grise, froide et pluvieuse qui nous a entraînée à visiter à fond jardins, châteaux et boutiques qui ne manquent pas dans cette région !! Julie a été très réactive pour nous aider à résoudre un petit souci de Wifi à notre arrivée et a tout remis en ordre de marche. La maison est spacieuse et bien équipée. Merci beaucoup.
