“Loved the bed very comfortable but the pool wasn't clean.”

“Our room was only half painted. The fixtures looked ancient. I saw a red stain on the wall in the bathroom. The breakfast space was so cramped we could barely move between the juice and the waffles. Choices were very limited. When we arrived, we dialed 0 to get the desk manager. When she answered, her first words were “oh no.” The key to our room did not work, but the desk manager resolved the problem quickly.”

“Our stay at The Little Red Barn tiny cabin was outstanding. It was the perfect base for our adventures during the off-season when we couldn’t do our usual tent-camping. Centrally located in the city of Luverne, it’s a short distance away from all in-town amenities. The property it’s on is very eclectic with historical pieces scattered about, & the hosts are super welcoming & informative on the local area. We found the cabin clean & pleasant to be in; modern amenities with some repurposed……

“The room appeared to be clean, however I spilt some water on the floor and when I cleaned it up, the paper towel was black. It did not appear the floors had been scrubbed in quite some time. Bed was comfy. Kitchen could have been stocked better, particularly with water glasses. Limited towels, only 2 bath towels for a 3 night stay for 2 of us, one kitchen hand towel, one dish cloth and no towel to dry dishes, the dishwasher was out of order. “This is a great place to stay compared to a hotel! The house is well taken care of; cozy, and has all of the amenities that you need to feel like home. The hostess was super available and communicative! You can tell the owners love the house for how cozy it is. Super clean, tons of towels, and the beds were super comfortable! Close access to Blue Mounds State Park. 15/10 would stay again! There’s a good restaurant/bar in town!”

“Very clean and good location in downtown Luverne. Hiccup with electronic locks not accepting the code initially due to an internet problem, but the host showed up late at night to address the issue.”
