A wonderful stay
We loved our stay here - home had beautiful views and space indoors and outdoors for adults and kids alike. Kayaks on property with short hikes was an awesome addition that we all enjoyed. Home was also conveniently located to trailheads (~15/20 min. for our picks), and beds were comfy.

Really Lives Up to The Name
Property was truly a "Bird's Eye View" and a hidden oasis! A great spot with a beautiful view perfect for relaxing.

Camp Bachelorette
This house is absolutely amazing. We rented it for my bachelorette weekend, and it provided the perfect place for all my best friends to come together and hang out. The house truly is stocked with all the kitchen essentials. They have pretty much any appliance you can think of including a kitchen aid mixer, regular coffee maker, Nespresso, blender and more. Unfortunately it was a rainy weekend but the large windows in the living room allowed us to enjoy the stunning view of the view of the lake and changing leaves while staying dry. We would all definitely stay here again!

Family Get Away
The house and lake view were as shown in the pictures but to get down to the lake is a bit of a hike. The only downside was that there was nothing that was close to the house for food or getting groceries.

Beautiful views. Well stocked kitchen as far as dishes, silverware, pots and pans. They had the basics to get you through a few days and it was more than enough for us.

Great view and property, long drive
Incredible view. Long hikes down to water but great fun for kids. A bit rugged down at the water, but with water shoes it’s a breeze. Rooms are nice, and setup is nice.

Nice house with beautiful view, but with issues
Our grown up family of 5 (two 70-somethings and three 50-somethings) rented this home for several days. And while initially we enjoyed the house - the view is absolutely stunning, the deck is great; loved the view of the setting sun; and the house, for the most part, is lovely; several things caught our attention that we feel compelled to note. Things we noticed or had trouble with: • There are no hand rails/grab bars in either shower/tub to aid in getting and out, which is unsafe, as we discovered. This is very important for future guests to take note of and we hope this issue is addressed as soon as possible. • The house entry code was not correct and we had to text them to get the correct one before entering. • The wifi code listed in the welcome email from VRBO was not correct and again we had to text to get the correct code. • The water smells strongly of sulfur in all bathrooms, the kitchen, and the laundry room. • Both routes down to the water are very, very steep. We hope this review helps future guests and we hope this house fixes its issues because it is a really pretty place.

We appreciate all of your feedback and recommendations about the amenities of the lodge and we look forward to improving the experience that we provide moving forward. The access keypad was discovered to have one number shorted out which has since been restored. We have also increased the frequency of our water filtration system maintenance to ensure clean water that is consistently clear of any scent. Future guests may wish to take note of the two paths leading to the lake: there is one shorter path made up of railway stairs that leads through the backyard and another path that is longer and less steep which leads from beside the house. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and suggestions with us. We would love to host your group again for your next vacation.

Great view!
This property has a great view! The house was very roomy and accommodating to our family. Only reason I gave 4 stars was the hike to the shoreline was very steep. But the outstanding view made up for it.

Gathering of friends
Spectacular views. We spent lots of time on the deck around the gas fire pit after grilling burgers upon arrival and a full day of mountain biking and boating on the lake the next day and Sunday morning. We enjoyed the sauna in the evenings as well. The property manager was responsive and communicated well. The propane was low, and the manager delivered a full bottle upon request. The access codes were easy to use. The 10:00am Sunday morning check out time came quickly after a full Saturday of activities, but the property manager allowed us a bit more time, which was helpful and much appreciated.

Amazing view!
Beautiful property with everything you need for a great getaway. The beds were comfortable and the hot tub was really nice. You won’t be disappointed. I took away one star on the check in process because the door code was wrong when we arrived and a few other details were in need of updating in the check in email. Otherwise everything was outstanding!

Beautiful views, beautiful accommodations
This beautifully appointed home is on a secluded property with a majestic view of the lake below. Each bedroom has its own view of the water, or you can sit on the large covered patio or the expansive deck. Common areas (kitchen and den) are large and well-equipped. Entire facility was very clean. We suggest that you get groceries on your way to the property because it’s a drive into town. For anyone with mobility issues: be aware that there are 2 bathtubs. Overall, highly recommended property.

Fantastic property with responsive property manager.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Birds Eye Retreat. The property is amazing. Pictures don’t do it justice. The property manager was prompt via text in resolving all questions or concerns. We arrived to find that the floors and carpets were obviously not cleaned. Cleaning personnel arrived the next morning to sweep and vacuum while we were out. Also we chose not to use the deck cushions by the fire pit due to excessive dirt. The cushions near the house were good. A deck box to store cushions when not in use would be a nice addition. We received two letters with conflicting codes for gate and house entry. Texting the property manager quickly answered that question. Prior guests had left the kayak paddles in the boat and they floated away. Management brought a newly purchased paddle out to us! Overall we would return to this property. We have recommended it to family and friends.

Spring break
We stayed at this beautiful spot for spring break- we have 4 kids 14, 11, 10, & 7! All enjoyed the views and going up and down the hill to the water. Enjoyed kayaks and hot tub over and over. Clean place! WiFi password sent in the instructions was incorrect, however, there was a sign indicating how to login.

Amazing views!
This property is absolutely breathtaking. Six of us ladies enjoyed every moment here. The kitchen is equipped with everything I could’ve wished for. We cooked every day and enjoyed dinner at the big dining room table. We came prepared with tons of groceries being that a trip in town is literally a trip. The gas fire pit was a great place to hang out in the cold weather. Be sure to get backup propane if you hang out there for long. ( I didn’t think to do that) The email check in info I received didn’t contain the correct gate code or correct Wi-Fi info. I did text and they replied with a new gate code but no Wi-Fi info. It was not a big deal to me as most people today use data on their phones. I did have a couple of the women ask if I received the new Wi-Fi info but, to be honest it was my birthday vacation and thought maybe it will help us limit our phone use and, I just didn’t want to text again asking for Wi-Fi info. If you are looking to stay at this property don’t hesitate. It was absolutely beautiful and comfortable for our group. One more tip. We had dinner reservations that we canceled due to the fact that none of us can see well driving at night on unfamiliar dark winding roads. Just be sure you shop for All your wants and needs and it will be the best vacation ever.

Beautiful and off the grid
I absolutely loved this property. The access to the water and the overall view was amazing. Hot tub was perfect. Sauna was a new experience. I loved the large tub. It was a cozy retreat!!

Beaver Lake hideaway
Excellent location; bit remote so bring your groceries, beer and steaks with you or plan on spending a couple of hours getting back and forth to town. However, there was no noise at night, a beautiful view, no police sirens, just a very tranquil place. Amenities were excellent. Great place to R&R.

We enjoyed our stay VERY much! The hike down to the lake is very steep so maybe not the best for Senior Citizens. But for us it was fun and an adventure everything. The interior of the house was GREAT and provided many extras we weren't expecting but was so nice to have. The view was incredible! The beds were comfortable and lots of space! The internet to watch TV was very sctechy the entire time we were there but we didn't watch a ton of TV at night anyways. I would and likely will visit this place again. Thank you for an awesome experience!

Loved this property and would recommend it to others. -Views are better than pictures -Comfortable beds, linens -Property management company/customer service was great. Quick responses for any questions we had, via text. -Very quiet, private location -Sauna was bigger and nicer than i expected. -It was beautiful in the middle of winter, so I imagine its even better during the warmer seasons. -Would recommend to others. Really enjoyed our stay and very happy we selected this house to get away

From Beach to Mountains
House was great! Beautiful view! Eagles seen many times! Great hiking within minutes of the house. Very private with no neighbors next door! Fire pit with plenty of firewood provided. Gas fire pit outside if you prefer quick and easy! We used both multiple times! Nice kitchen for cooking at the house! Overall great spot! We will probably be back!

Perfect Getaway w/ Breathtaking View
Absolutely perfect Thanksgiving week spent at this property. Very clean with a fully stocked kitchen for cooking/heating Thanksgiving dinner. View was even better than we imagined and the kids loved making s’mores at the fire pit and fishing . This may be a new family tradition!

Great home
We enjoyed the home. Clean and spacious. Favorite part was the view of the lake. Only down fall was the lake access. Stairs made it close to the water but had to hike down to actually make it to the water. Not easily reachable with small children . Overall great home!

Would love to come back
The house was as expected. Was very roomy in all rooms, nice open living room/kitchen/dining great for large family, decorated nice. The pics of the property itself and view didn't do it justice. It had GORGEOUS wide view of the surrounding lake and hills. Would love to go back and stay longer.
