Beautiful holiday

We stayed a week in this wonderful house equipped with every confort. Magnificent pool and garden and lovingly furbished interior. The location is convenient for visiting the main cities of Provence or for taking a few tour in the Beautiful surrounding countryside.

Beautiful house and gardens with saltwater pool

My family and I loved our stay at this property. The house is as beautiful in real life as it is in the photos. The photos do not capture how lovely and large the garden is - it is about one acre in size and every inch of it is beautifully landscaped. The hosts are very friendly and spent a long time showing us how to use appliances, where to find extra dishes etc. Because the hosts use their home, it is extremely well furnished with kitchen and dining ware. I would definitely come back.

Das Haus ist genauso schön, wie auf den Bildern. Es ist das Privathaus der Eigentümer, das sie vermieten, wenn sie verreist sind. Haus und Grundstück sind riesig und sehr gepflegt. Die Lage ist toll: Der kleine Ort Rognes ist sehr nett mit wenig Tourismus, aber mit einem tollen Restaurant (die beiden anderen haben wir nicht ausprobiert). Man erreicht in max. einer Stunde Fahrt zahlreiche wunderschöne Orte und Städte.Als Nachteil haben wir allerdings empfunden, dass niemand da war, der sich regelmäßig um Haus und Pool gekümmert hätte (das kennen wir von anderen Häusern dieser Preisklasse so). Vielleicht hatten wir Pech, aber während unseres Aufenthaltes fiel das Warmwasser aus (da kam allerdings sofort jemand zum Reparieren) und die Poolanlage schien nicht richtig zu funktionieren: Der Pool war plötzlich grün. Wir mussten (nach Rücksprache mit dem Eigentümer) nachchloren, die Wände abschrubben und konnten den Pool dann zwei Tage nicht benutzen. Danach mussten wir Messung und Chlorung des Pools selbst übernehmen, was nicht ganz einfach war. Auch die Beregnungsanlage für den Garten fiel aus und wir mussten sie nach Rücksprache außer Betrieb nehmen. Der Rasenroboter machte auch immer mal wieder Ärger.Wir fanden das Bett im Erdgeschoss SEHR unbequem (extrem weich und durchgelegen), haben dann mit unserem Sohn gewechselt und ihm machte es nicht so viel aus.Poolhandtücher gibt es nicht (nicht schlimm, wir hatten welche dabei) - nur als Hinweis für weitere Gäste.

Tres belle et agréable propriété proche Aix

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans la belle maison de Georges et Aleth. Tout est réuni pour permettre aux petits comme aux plus grands de passer d’excellentes vacances. La maison qui dispose de tout le confort, le grand jardin, la très grande piscine, la pétanque, le Ping Pong, le trampoline, le stade de foot juste à côté et les terrains de tennis. On y est au calme avec beaucoup d’espace, une cuisine super équipée, une buanderie, un potager etc… Georges et Aleth sont adorables et aux petits soins pour leur hôtes, c’est plus qu’appréciable.

Magnifique propriété proche d’Aix

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans cette magnifique propriété proche d’Aix aux équipements haut de gamme ( climatisation au sol, cuisine de grande marque , etc) et à la décoration soignée . Rien à redire non plus concernant les extérieurs particulièrement adaptés pour les enfants ( piscine, trompoline, baby foot , table de ping pong etc,, Un grand merci à Aleth et Georges pour la qualité de leur accueil et leur gentillesse !

Une semaine à Rognes

Nous avons passé un séjour excellent dans cette magnifique maison, tres bien équipée, parfaitement conforme au descriptif et tres bien située à proximité des commerces, des villages et lieux d'intérêt. Les propriétaires sont très accueillants et chaleureux et nous recommandons cette maison sans aucune hésitation. Nous avons été ravis de découvrir cette région au depart de Rognes.

Beautiful, very clean, and well equipped home in a spectacular region

The village of Rognes is a quick drive (<5 mins) where there is a small grocery store, great boulangerie, a Pharmacie, a couple of restaurants (we enjoyed Le Piano Gourmand a couple of times), and a boucherie. The larger Intermarché and Carrefour stores are not much farther in the next village- about 10 mins from the house. Rognes is not quite in the Luberon but was a great home base from which we could easily travel to all of our destinations. We went to Lourmarin, Bonnieux (highly recommend the restaurant L’arôme there), and Gordes. We also went the opposite direction one day to visit the gorgeous town of Cassis on the coast. And then of course you have Aix de Provence less than a 30 minutes drive away as well. We also went kayaking one day down the Durance river, and the meeting spot for this was less than a 10 min drive from the house. This last minute activity ended up being so much fun and one of our favorite things. Many more things left to do and see, so we hope to return one day and would happily rent this house again. Thank you to Georges and Aleth!

Nous avons passé un super séjour entre amis à Rognes. La maison est extrêmement bien équipée et décorée avec goût, notamment la cuisine qui est idéale pour préparer des repas tous ensemble! La terrasse extérieur couverte est vraiment agréable pour prendre les repas et la piscine a fait le bonheur des petits et des grands! Un club de tennis se trouve juste à côté pour ravir les plus sportifs du groupe. De plus, la localisation est très pratique, à proximité de plusieurs jolis villages à visiter et de marchés très agréables avec de bons produits. Enfin Aleth et Georges sont accueillants, disponibles et plein de petites attentions particulières.

Vacances idéales entre amis

Superbe propriété, idéal pour passer un moment de convivialité en famille ou entre amis (chambres comfortable, dortoir pour les enfants, belle piscine, très grand jardin) maison très bien pensée et idéalement située, a 25mn d’Aix. Perfection in Provence

Beautiful house and gardens equipped and maintained to a very high standard by caring owners. Our teenagers especially enjoyed the excellent swimming pool (good size and all one depth with motorised cover and cleaning robot) and the poolhouse with separate WC and shower as well as a shaded area for sun loungers and football table. We loved the garden which was well-stocked with trees, flowers and neatly trimmed lawns and we made good use of the gas BBQ and outdoor eating area with guests. Evening aperitif was much enjoyed by all in the outdoor sofa lounge area. Inside, the house was cool for our 2-week stay in August thanks to underfloor air conditioning and the ground floor bedroom had its own WC, shower room and dressing-room. The teenagers were pleased to have WiFi although it was necessary to re-boot the router during our stay to maintain the connection but this was easily done. They also appreciated the large-screen TV in the sitting-room. We all loved the open-plan layout and the French windows of the ground floor which gave a light and airy feel to the house. The separate laundry room was very useful with its Miele washing machine, Bosch tumble dryer and steam generator iron. Upstairs, there are two double bedrooms, the attic dorm, a WC, a shower room and a bathroom all with good storage. The dorm has its own air-conditioning unit on the wall which we found to be quiet and efficient. Rognes is an attractive village (small town?) with an excellent butcher, two bakers, an organic grocer, a fruit and vegetable shop, a chemist, a newsagent, small Spar and two markets (Wednesday and Saturday) as well as a nice take-away Pizza restaurant (Belle Epoque), organic café and the Piano Gourmand restaurant (reservation required in the summer months). Larger supermarkets (Casino, Carrefour and Intermarche) are in Lambesc, a 10 minute drive away. This property is ideally positioned for touring Provence with easy day trips to Arles, Avignon, Aix, Orange, Carpentras, the Luberon villages (Gordes, Menerbes, Lourmarin etc), Marseilles and the Camargue. For Roman history we visited the Pont du Gard, the arena and theatre in Arles and Glanum. We recommend a day trip to Gorges du Verdon to see the huge canyon with white water and a lake. Closer to Rognes, we spent an enjoyable few hours on the wine tour, tasting and lunch at Chateau La Coste where organic white, rose and red wines are produced. Still much more to see so we hope to return here!

Traumvilla, großartiger Urlaub

Wir haben zwei wundervolle Ferienwochen in diesem traumhaften Haus verbracht. Die Ausstattung ist hochwertig und das gesamte Grundstück sehr liebevoll und gepflegt gestaltet. Außerdem sind die Vermieter sehr herzlich, unkompliziert und zuvorkommend. Die Lage ist für alle, die einen ruhigen, entspannten Urlaubsort suchen, perfekt. Die Umgebung erlaubt Ausflüge in die gesamte Provence, Aix-en Provence ist in einer halben Stunde, Avignon und Nimes z.B. in einer Stunde erreichbar. In einer dreiviertel Stunde ist man aber auch am Meer. Der Flughafen Marseille ist 40 Minuten entfernt. Wir würden jederzeit wieder in diesem wundervollen, charmanten Haus Urlaub machen.

Great Property but Brits Beware!

First things first, the property and hosts were first class. We had 7 in our party ranging from 3-69, and all were accommodated for in the property. The pool and pool house were excellent for the kids and extremely safe. The location of the property allows you to explore the region without having hugely long journeys (everything within 30-60 mins). If you are British, please be aware that the deposit of 2000 Euro can have huge fluctuations in when it comes back into your bank account, i lost £170 (£145 in the exchange rate and a £25 bank charge). Now clearly, you might be one the other side of a favourable exchange rate but i think the deposit is excessively high (others on the website were £200-£500 which i think is more reasonable). All in all a lovely house but slightly tarnished by the loss of that money for no reason whatsoever (i would have preferred to pay extra for the house).

Perfection!

This house is absolutely wonderful and a great base for a holiday in Provence. The house is beautifully appointed and maintained and the description and pictures here only hint at its quality! It has plenty of space to accommodate two families (we were two families of four). Msr and Mdm Rey (owners) were most welcoming and helpful during our stay. The house is particularly well appointed for children – our kids got a great kick out of sharing the ‘dormitory’ room with their friends. The pool has a motorised cover too which provides great peace of mind if you have small children. The location is great for exploring Provence – the quaint village of Rognes is about a 20 minute walk / a mile away. Aix en Provence is a great place to explore and at about 15 miles away is accessible by car (and also within range of a taxi for nights out – with loads of great restaurants and bars). We also did day trips to Cassis on the coast which was wonderful and the Gorges du Verdun which is stunning – both about an hours drive, and visited some of the local vineyards (the nearest of which is literally across the road), our favourites of which were Chateau de Beaupres and Chateau la Coste. Thank you again for a wonderful holiday!
