The hotel/apartment takes you back to old times with its design. It shows and reflect the true Italian architecture. The only bad thing was a bad odor coming out from the bathroom pipe but when the doors closed it wouldn’t matter. I still recommend this location due to how spacious it is for a family of 4.

Salotto Monti is an excellent hotel stay for a quick getaway to Rome. The rooms were clean and the hotel breakfast was amazing! The staff was courteous and the location was perfectly situated in walking distance of many of Rome’s must see locations. It is now definitely my go to stay for any future trip’s to the Eternal City.

The room was huge and the location was amazing. The room needed a little upkeep as the door handle was falling off, the kitchen sink tap was broken and there were many scuffs on the wall and in the shower but overall clean and great for our family of four. Walking distance to all of the sites, absolutely can’t beat the location. Staff was friendly.

The receptionist was very nice, and the location wasn’t bad — about a 22-minute walk from the central railway station. However, it wasn’t easy to find the hotel since there was no signage from the street. You basically need to enter a residential building and ask the gentleman inside for help. The room wasn’t in great condition either. The kitchen tap was very wobbly, and our windows faced a backyard with large vents/fans outside, so we had to keep the curtains closed most of the time, which meant not much sunlight. The noise insulation was also quite poor — we could hear sounds from outside and other rooms. We stayed only one night, so it didn’t bother us too much.

The room was incredibly tiny. Nothing like the pictures that I saw when we booked it. There was barely 12 inches next to the bed. The hotel is on the 3rd floor of another old building, so it is very confusing to enter. It would be helpful to have more information on that provided before arrival. The breakfast was okay, but there is no space to even set your plate. No self-service of coffee or tea, so unless the hotel host shows up to bring it, you do not get any.

The shared balcony, breakfast and location were great. We did not get the room with 4 beds that we reserved. We got free breakfast to compensate. My issue... was that they did not tell us they switched our room. We had to show them a photo of the room we reserved and then they offered breakfast They should have been honest up front. Instead of 4 beds we had 3 beds and a cot. They told us the room was the same price, but I am going to confirm when I return home. I will ask for a refund if the price of the superior 4-bed apartment we paid for was more costly than the 3-bed room we got. Good hotel, except for the room mix up.

Excellent location. Completely walkable. 15-20 minutes to the Trevi fointain, Colosseum, and Pantheon. 50 min to the Vatican. And in a quiet street with excellent gelato downstairs and a handy convenience store. Highly recommend!

The room itself is a little dated but clean and comfortable what is a true stand out about this hotel is the staff. They are friendly, helpful and prompt. The location is ideal it is easily walkable to the Coliseum, Pantheon and Trevi Fountain. There is also lots of shopping and dining options around. I would definitely stay there again if I ever return to Tome

One of the best properties we have ever stayed at. The staff was exceptional, very friendly and nice. The hotel has multiple events every day. Every event we went to was well thought out and had experts running it. We would highly recommend.

The hotel experience was very unique. Rooms were actually located in a huge multi-unit building. It definitely felt like a hidden gem. The hotel cleanliness was good, not amazing, but we were hardly there, so it hardly mattered. The staff were lovely and informative. I didn’t like that i couldn’t pay for my guest in advance of my stay.

Staff were lovely and accommodating. We had 2 rooms as had to move after 2 nights due to availability (our choice) but both rooms were nothing special, the second apartment type room even worse - bathrooms in both were really tired and in need of renovation and as such looked grubby. Breakfast was poor, really basic and not worth having but coffee and service at breakfast good. Overall I'm really not sure why this place has the good reviews.
