If you are looking for a place to unwind from the rat race of everyday life, you will love Ruidoso and our comfy cottage. We take pride in the "spic & span" cleanliness of this property. PRIVATE HOT TUB! Our cozy cottage offers you the seclusion of a quite area, surrounded by lovely, whispering pines and wildlife galore! Deer visit on a regular basis.....and massive elk drop in occasionally for a nice rest. It isn't unusual at all to see a group of beautiful wild horses. Bird lovers? Ruidoso has gorgeous varieties of hummingbirds! Have a cup of coffee, or glass of wine as you sit on our covered deck or out by the hot tub. Take in all the splendor nature has to offer or spend some time shopping in the many shops Ruidoso offers. Stroll through midtown, stop and enjoy a glass of wine. There are many restaurants in Ruidoso from Mexican food, to burgers, steaks, soups, and delicious desserts! Want more entertainment.....Ruidoso offers horse racing. Memorial Day thru Labor Day and for CHRISTMAS WE PUT UP A CHRISTMAS TREE! There are 3 casinos nearby....the Inn of the Mountain Gods offers Las Vegas style gambling and breathtaking views that overlook the lake! More adventurous.....try the zip line at Ski Apache or the Inn of the Mountain Gods. New Alpine Slide at Ski Apache… Fishing, canoe rentals, go karts, horseback riding, hiking, museums.......and lots of artwork. Several golf courses nearby. Find it all in Ruidoso. The cottage is 2 bdrm with addl sleeping on a queen sleeper sofa in living area. Large, covered deck. HOT TUB, INTERNET, 2 TV's (ROKU), central heat & air! Most times, you will not need air conditioning, but if you do, this property provides it. Always check road conditions and weather in winter months to be prepared. Four wheel drive & snow chains are recommended in winter months.

It has a PRIVATE HOT TUB, Internet, decks, fireplace, ceiling fans, tower fans...and more! VRBO NUMBER 433168. BOOK EARLY FOR THANKSGIVING AND CHRISTMAS. THE VILLAGE OF RUIDOSO DOES NOT ALLOW ANY FIREWORKS WITHIN THE VILLAGE. There are fireworks displays at the Inn of the Mountain Gods on several occasions. Fee of charge & they are fantastic! We offer off-season rates for some months in the year. Usually, dates in latter March, all of April, first part of May, early November have some discounted rates. Weekly rates available also. Higher rates include New Years, Christmas season, Spring Break, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving & Memorial Day. Although holiday rates are increased, we do not try to capitalize on holidays by raising excessively. Not all holiday rates are the same either. We realize there are many properties available to lease in Ruidoso and appreciate your interest in ours. We feel the reviews, on both properties, will give you an insight into what guests think. Nice place

We enjoyed our stay. Cabin is cozy and comfortable but the walk from where we had to park was long, steep, and a bit slippery.

Perfect stay

Great house for our family of four. The house was clean and ready for our arrival. The owner, Jannelle was incredibly nice and was available and responsive with all of our questions. The house is in a quiet neighborhood just minutes away from everything.

Perfect getaway 💖

We really enjoyed our stay. Cottage is very clean and cozy. It was exactly what we were looking for. Cottage is close to all attractions and we had no problem getting to and from places. We had the pleasure and seeing plenty of deer every day that we were there. Will definitely be back.

Lovely two weeks

My husband, young dog and I had a lovely two weeks stay. Quiet neighborhood. We saw deer often and one evening were treated to wild horses surrounding the cabin for a couple of hours. The host was delightful to work with.

My family and I enjoyed our annual vacation to Ruidoso and were very pleased with the location, cleanliness and coziness of the Elk Crossing Cottage. The cottage offered the warmth of the fireplace with plentiful provided wood and location was very accessible to all that Ruidoso has to offer. Lovely mountain get-away spot

We wanted a dog-friendly cabin in a pine tree forest for our safe distancing get-away, and we found it! Deer visited us daily, and we saw elk 2 of the 4 evenings we were there. Saw many birds, including a hummingbird frequenting our feeder. Beds were comfortable, kitchen had what we needed, the hot tub was splendid, and the deck was a great place to start and end the day. Great deal for the price!

Me gusto mucho la casa es chiquita pero acogedora limpia con todos los utensilios de Cosina, segura para los perros tiene una terraza cercada, todo los días tenía visitas acogedoras de los animales me encantó, lo único q no me gusto fue el parqueo y la entrada está lejos d la casa y el camino está bien descuidado e incómodo si deseas salir y está lloviendo te mojas y las condiciones de la entrada están malitas por lo demás todo estaba perfecto

Nice stay

Stayed w/family for a baseball tourney! Really enjoyed the stay, kitchen well equipped, games the kids enjoyed so much we did not turn on the TV once! The hot tub was nice also. Close to restaurants and stores. I did have an issue with the grill not working so I cooked everything on the stove but host reimbursed for the inconvenience. Downside, there are spiderwebs on almost every light post on the deck and rails so I had to tell the kids not to touch the rails just to be safe. Also deer poop everywhere, which is understandable it is their land but at least before a booking it could be cleaned up before arrival because there were droppings on the only pathway to the cottage and right in front of the door.

Cozy, clean, and quiet

Overall, a cute cozy quiet cabin. We enjoyed the hot tub and there were several deer in the evenings. Only issues were walk from car to door is pretty uneven so need to be careful and kitchen needs new utensils like a new peeler and could not get any of the csn openers to work.

Cozy little house in a good location

Nice place for a get-away with your family or small group. Great outdoor space/deck with nice, clean hottub. Plenty of pots/pans and dishes/utensils for cooking etc. Location is near reataurants and shopping, while still having wildlife (deer&elk) pass thru daily. Owner/manager responds quickly to questions/concerns.

Access was easy, instructions and expectations were very clear. Pictures and descriptions of the cabin were accurate. Coffee and tea and basic supplies were left for us to use. All in all, very nice.

My husband and 2 kiddos loved this cabin. It was beyond cozy and had everything we needed for a weekend of fun. The hot tub was amazing. The fireplace made it so warm and cozy. I think we found our new go to spot!

Wonderful property

We had the best time. The views were beautiful, the house was perfect for us, and the amenities were wonderful. We spent every morning on the top deck having coffee and every evening on the bottom deck in the hot tub. Check in and out process was easy and the hosts include a welcome packet with instructions for check out and local things to do. We hope to be back soon

Fall get away !

My husband and our dog Brady and I needed to get away from the hustle and bustle of a hectic time in our lives . We stayed at this adorable cottage, so clean and lovely decorations ( very cozy ) ! We loved the outside decks and watching the elk and deer gathering and grazing outside and watching the raven birds gliding through the sky ! Great location, minutes away from grocery store and restaurants and close to many great outdoor activities. For us this was a great get away !
