"Interesting place to stay in an almost 100-year old building. Well maintained and room was very clean. The only complaint was the showering area was too small. If you have young kids this might not be the best place to stay given the casino and cigarette smell on the ground floor"

"The room appeared nicely refurbished (including tasteful plantation shutters ant the window), although what seemed to be the original bathtub (1970s?) was stained, discolored and sorely in need of replacement—I imagine to do so in all rooms would cost a fortune; I was compelled to stand on a towel in it while showering. The coffee maker/condiments were appreciated. Check-in was mixed up: instructions on hotels.com were to do so at (sister property?) Hotel Nevada a short distance away (no staff on site, which presented to me a slight safety concern for my overnight parked car). After parking there first and attempting to do so upon evening arrival, I found the clerk was puzzled. I was told there would be staff at HWY 50 Inn to check me in after all, up until a certain hour. Once I arrived at HWY 50 Inn, the friendly clerk said they must have forgotten to remove that instruction from online. The location is good for walking the historic downtown."

"Nice stopping point traveling up through Ely. Property’s been around a while, but clean & well-maintained. Small casino with bar, and convenient on site Mex-American restaurant. Would stay again for aure"

"I stay here every time I pass thru Ely. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Indoor pool and hot tub make for a relaxing stay after a long motorcycle ride. Onsite steak house is convenient, however; not used. The price is right!"

"Great place for the money, very inexpensive. But, one of the outlets did not work so coffee maker and blow dryer did not work. Internet signal was so weak, we could not get our iPhones and laptop computer to connect. So, we gave up on that. Staff very friendly, though."
