Charming Hilltop Accommodation With Outstanding Views

Sablet is a village where the people you will meet in the cafes and shops are your neighbours who live and work in the village or the surrounding area. Literally 2 minutes walk from Les Maisons are the shops, cafes and restaurants that provide a convenience to your daily life whilst here. Many wineries can be found within walking distance of Les Maisons. There are 2 boulangeries (bakeries), 2 epiceries (convenience markets), a boucherie (butcher), a fleuriste, a tabac – presse, where you can pick up your daily copy of the local and Parisian daily newspapers as well as the International Herald Tribune, a banque (with cash machine), post office and medical center with on duty doctors and a dentist. The Café des Sports is a great place to relax over a café au lait, or an early evening aperitif, maybe before dinner at one of the neighboring restaurants - Le Cornucopia, Les Remparts -or the Pizza Comme Di where you can dine outdoors in the square.

Beautify house in a great location

Two couples stayed here for a long weekend. The house is a beautiful house in the old town, in a great location. We parked in the town parking and walked the few minutes to the house. The house is very well furnished with all the necessary mod-cons. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are large. There was no noise or light pollution at night. The view from the roof terrace was amazing. We had other friends who stayed in other rental properties in the town and none came close to this one. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Unexpected gem

The property is beautifully decorated with all the amenities of ones own home The proprietor was friendly and enormously helpful in getting our luggage up to his charming house. The only difficult experience was our inability to park our car in front of the house due to extremely narrow road leading to the house. This required us to either use the 39 steps going up and down to the village and to our car or down the winding roads. In both cases the time it took to navigate our descend or ascend took no more than 3-5 minutes. Being older this was a bit of a struggle for us. There is a fabulous pastry shop at the bottom of the house along with a well equipped grocery store. Altogether A pleasant experience.

Provençal adventure

Delightful property in the hilltop town of Sablet. We loved being one of the locals buying our groceries in the neighbourhood shops. We got to know the local bar owner well! Our hosts Tony and Mary were fantastic at settling us in, and gave us top tips for the area. A beautiful setting to become French for a few weeks.

Still amazing!

This was our second stay at Sablet. We returned because we love the small village life and the beautiful villages around. The house is spotlessly clean and Tony and Mary are only a short distance away if you ever need anything as is Nadia. We love it that is why we returned.

Truly wonderful

This is a beautiful village and the house is even better than the description. It’s a living village so has amenities and the cafe des sports being the hub of the village. Market day on Friday morning too! We loved our stay and hope to be back. Tiny and Mary are simply lovely and Nadia is available should you need anything. A perfect setting!

Die Gegend ist erste Wahl sowohl für kulturell oder kulinarisch Interessierte als auch für Rennradfahrer. Bei der Behausung in Sablet scheint die Zeit stehengeblieben. Einzig der Kirchturm schlägt die Stunden (übrigens doppelt). Der Kirchplatz ist quasi die verlängerte Terrasse. Freundliche Leute und der Charme des kleinen Bergdorfs lassen jeden Aufenthalt zum wahren Erholungsurlaub werden.

Special Sablet

We had a delightful stay in 5 Rue de l’Eglise. The house is cool, comfortable and very well equipped. A perfect base for local exploration whether walking in vineyards or forest or visiting fascinating historical villages and towns within easy reach. maison agréable, village pittoresque

maison très bien équipée et pleine de charme; petite terrasse sur le toit avec une vue panoramique sur les alentours; les rues sont calmes on ne croise que les chats ! les commerces tout proches, et le village est bien placé pour se ballader dans la région A savoir, la cloche sonne toutes les heures à partir de 7h, il faut s'y faire! Il y a eu une fete forraine avec concerts le soir, c'était donc moins calme à ce moment, mais c'était une aubaine pour notre jeune fils:)

Hyggeligt velfungerende byhus i Sablet.

Sablet er en meget hyggelig by, hvor der ikke er så mange turister. Vi følge os meget godt tilpas og mødte meget venlighed hos de lokale. Nadia der tog imod os var fantastisk. Hun rådede os til IKKE at køre op til huset, men parkere på torvet. Lyt til det råd. Vores nye bil fik nogle store skrammer. Det tager kun 2 min at gå ned til torvet. Det var hedebølge, så stor var glæden ved en velfungerende A/C. Huset oversteg vores forventninger og vi brugte både terrassen foran huset og tagterrassen med den fantastiske udsigt, når vi ikke var på tur eller hang ud på Sports bar i byen. Vi kommer gerne igen en anden gang.
