Beautiful property!
Visited Sandpoint over Labor Day Weekend, staying with Shep & Joy was the highlight! Their space has beautiful views & lots of fun things to do regardless of the season. Felt right at home, such a blessing to share their home for us to experience!

Little piece of paradise
We had an absolute amazing time at Shep and Joy's place. The water slide, garden, and kitty cat made being on the lake extra special. Shep and Joy were especially kind to our children. We will stay again!

Great Views from every Window!!
My husband and I visited Sagle to attend a wedding. What a beautiful location!! The unit is mostly equipped with all you will need. Both Shep and Joy were fabulous hosts! We want to come back in the winter when there is snow!!!

Great experience
Beautiful property. We loved our stay and sad we didn’t have time to enjoy the dock and lake. Owners were wonderful. Shep greeted us upon arrival, and shared area information with us. Although the VRBO was above the owners living area, we never saw them, but made himself available if we did need something. Definitely stay here again if in the area.

Amazing!
Shep and Joy are wonderful guests. They are the true meaning of hospitality and made my friend and I feel welcomed and at home. Shep also gave us some great insights and local recs. Next time I'm in the area, I'll definitely want to stay with them and hope to see if Shep can give us a tour of the mountain!

Couple's Trip 2023
The property was absolutely beautiful. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the property. The beds were extremely comfortable. All three bedrooms had king-sized beds and fireplaces. The kitchen was well organized and labeled and everything you will need. We enjoyed the game room I give it a 10 out of 10. I love Matt, he's a gem. The check-in and check-out was easy. I love Heaven's Cabins and will be booking with them again.

Beautiful place, wonderful people
Beautiful lake place with wonderful hosts. Our kids absolutely loved the slide on the dock and gorgeous setting. The beds were cozy and place was so clean. We’ll definitely be back!

Perfect stay
We were traveling through from a week long vacation and only booked for one night. We wished we could of stayed longer, as the stay was perfect. We met Shep when we arrived and he was such a pleasant host. Wished we had more time to chat….next time. The space was perfect and had everything we needed and wanted. The view was spectacular and I hope we can return one day. Highly recommend!!

Great property! Great hosts!
Our family of four had a great time at this location. The accommodations were clean and just the right size for us. Despite not having a kitchen, it was well equipped with many kitchen tools and utensils that were useful. Our kids loved swimming by the dock and the slide. The hosts were beyond caring and informative. They went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay.

Amazing experience!!
I can’t say enough about Shep, Joy and the rental property. They were absolutely front row and went out of their way to make our vacation a positive experience. Communication and response timeliness was great. The rental and grounds were exceptionally well kept. You can tell that Shep and Joy have put a lot of hard work into their place and are proud to be able to share with others. Will definitely be going back!

Charming property with great views
A lovely base camp to spend a few days in the Sandpoint area. A 10-12 minute drive to downtown made for the perfect mix of seclusion while still having access to all that sandpoint offers. The hosts (Shep and Joy) are very friendly and welcoming.

Lots of activities within 15 minutes
This was a short and sweet weekend filled with lots of activities. Having access to the lake was great! We loved having a fire and s’mores provided by the hostess who was a gem :)

Lakeside stay
Comfortable studio over the main house with amazing view of lake and mountains complete with eagles. Host is very friendly and helpful. Close to Sandpoint while being quiet and out of town. Would give it more stars if I could!

Postcard perfect
We just wanted to get away for a night around Valentine's day. This was the perfect place for us. The hosts, Shep and Joy were wonderfully accommodating and so sweet, they even provided a bottle of champagne and a funny romantic comedy dvd for our get-away. But the icing on the cake was the beautiful view from every window in the place. Postcard perfect!! We would love to come back when we have more time and our XC skis.

Gorgeous setting
This is a great place to stay right on the lake! We did not get to meet Joy, but Shep is amazing! Just be aware that there is no stove to cook on, but there are small appliances and a microwave. We will definitely recommend this place to friends and family and would stay here again for sure!

Great getaway
We were looking for a quiet, relaxing place near water and with a view to celebrate our anniversary away from work, kids, and stress. This was everything we asked for, PLUS bald eagles and even a nighttime rainstorm on the metal roof to lull us to sleep. Couldnt have been more perfect! Shep and Joy are friendly and gracious hosts, very accommodating . Loved it!

I absolutely loved our stay. Shep and Joy are the kindest hosts. They even gave us fresh plums off their tree. If you want a quiet, relaxing, beautiful place to stay this is it. I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Beautiful, relaxing and refreshing vacation property
The property is heaven on earth. Having access to the beautiful clean lake is my idea of a dream come true. Their private dock is exceptional . I still imagine the lake view from the property bedroom windows and wish I was there. The location is perfect for privacy or for a scenic short ride into town or to any direction you wish to go out and explore. The property owners are wonderful people and a part of our cherished memories.

Inconsiderate
The hosts were nice but apparently not nice enough not to invite 9 families over during our stay (host’s ski team). We booked this place for some relaxation away from our kids and I guess we’d have to hang around more kids.. blows my mind someone renting their place out would do that. They should be up front about that or not rent the place out while hosting a party. Needless to say, we left early. Sleeping there was not great, AC didn’t really work and keeping the windows open, you hear a train drive by often enough through the night to be annoying and the mattress must be his kid’s original mattress (not great sleep).

So sorry you were not happy with your stay. We wish you had mentioned your concerns and issues at the time so we could have addressed and rectified them. For instance, the mattress is a brand new, top-of-the-line, medium firm Beatyrest. We have a mattress pad for guests who prefer something softer. Likewise, had you stayed to see, you would have discovered we did not host a team party, but a team board meeting with four kids swimming while the adults met. Had you expressed a problem with that we would have adjusted the location or time. The trains, however, are part of Sandpoint and can't be silenced. Although we live a few miles from the crossing, sound attenuates more loudly at night, so they can be heard in the distance.

Blown away!! Better than expected
The owners are friendly, helpful and really fun to talk to. This was my first time staying at a vrbo and I was very surprised how wonderful the entire experience was. This property had it all! Kayaking, fire pit, movies, hot tub, grill, you name it. I will definitely be back and this will be a place I will stay at everytime I'm in the area.

We chose this property so we could enjoy getting to know the Sagle/ Sandpoint area, and we weren’t disappointed! Shep and Joy are very knowledgeable about the area and have helpful tips on where to go for outdoor adventures. The property is also amazing with plenty to do and has a mesmerizing view. We are already planning a return visit!

Perfect getaway with the kids.
What a lovely place! The pictures don't do the view justice. Close to town, but secluded on the other side of the lake so it's still dark at night and nestled in the woods. We enjoyed the hot tub and the kids loved throwing rocks into the lake. My husband tuned up skis with Shep, and my kids woke up to hidden Easter eggs in the yard which just made the trip over the top good for them. Thank you so much, we'll happily be back this summer!

Quiet Retreat
This was a nice place off the beaten path, but still close enough to access various dinning places. My long time friend and I went there to have a couple of nights away from the chaos of mommy life. We got just that. I hope to be back for a little retreat with my husband in the near future.

Our stay was absolutely incredible! The owner's are kind, and friendly. We stayed 2 nights, and they felt like friends by the time we left. They keep the grounds immaculate, and the guest quarters are extremely clean. The view of this lake front property is breathtaking. Bald eagles landed in the trees in front of us. We enjoyed watching the sunset both days, and took lots of pictures. We love this place. We hope to come back with family next year. Next time we hope to stay longer than 2 days. Thanks for making our vacation so awesome!
