The property
Magnificent residence of the XIXth century having belonged to the family of the painter Alfred Marinier. Listed in the heritage of the Breton coast, its neo-gothic, neo-Romanesque styles make it a remarkable architectural building, made of Saint-Cast stones. Entirely renovated inside in the respect of the great volumes of the time but with a modern functionality. You will find there the very warm atmosphere of a family house which will welcome you with its original waxed parquet floors, its large living room with its billiard table and its large fireplace, its more intimate small lounge/library, its large table in the dining room, its perfectly equipped kitchen and its large bedrooms equipped with retro bathrooms. Everything is there, the smells, the materials, the sounds, the style to feel good. It has for vocation to welcome a family reunion, a parenthesis between friends, a place out of time, with WIFI all the same. Its situation, with a panoramic view on the beach, the sea, the countryside, a few steps from the sailing station, you will reach it by a staircase from the property. Close to the shops but far from the noises of the center, close to tennis, golf and horse riding center. In the sunshine, you will have breakfast, lunch or dinner on one of the tables spread out on the terraces around the house. The whole in a 4000 m² park planted with lush vegetation you will enjoy the slightest ray of sunshine, well sheltered on the south-facing sunbathing terrace.
Nobody is disappointed by this rare ensemble.

Séjour en Bretagne pluvieux mais chaleureux
Grande maison, proche de la mer avec une vue magnifique. Le temps étaient pluvieux alors nous avons bien pu profiter de cette grande maison, de sa cheminée et du billard. Entre deux averses aussi de la plage et du terrain de boules.

Beautiful House in a Great Location
Our group of old friends had a great week at this beautiful & characterful house. The spacious house easily accommodated 11 of us. The setting is lovely, with a mature garden, great sea views and a 3 minute stroll to the beach. We especially enjoyed the pool table and petanque piste.
The town of St Cast is an easy 15 minute walk away, and there are plenty of great walks and beaches on this stretch of coast.
We thoroughly recommend it for larger family or friends gatherings. The owner, Gilles, was friendly and helpful too.

Dream house
we spent 5 days in this house. We are a family of 12 people of different ages.
The house served us well. Everyone found their place and felt good in this house.
The house is well equipped.

Superbe semaine dans un cadre exceptionnel
C'est la deuxième fois que je reviens dans cette superbe demeure avec une vie exceptionnelle, et je suis toujours aussi ravi.
Nous avons passé une semaine entre amis dans cette grande maison de la fin du 19ème siècle, très fonctionnelle et tout le monde a été enchanté.
Excellent accueil des propriétaires.
Bref une location que je recommande sans hésiter.

Lovely house very close to great beach
Absolutely lovely old house which is 3 mins walk from beach and 10 mins from town centre. Amazing views of the sea and beach from the property. Family that rented it were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

Magnifique maison
Une excellente semaine en famille, dans cette superbe maison, où chacun a pu s’adonner suivant son envie au billard, à la cuisine et au salon lecture. Très bon accueil des propriétaires, et la plage est toute proche. Idéal pour nous.

Calme et beauté
La maison est magnifique. La vue sur la mer est reposante. Une terrasse au soleil permet de profiter de l'extérieur à l'abri du vent.

Superbe demeure, à deux pas de la mer
Nous avons passé une magnifique semaine dans cette très belle demeure historique. La maison est très grande et plein de charme. Belle vue mer de la maison et du jardin. Les plages sont à deux pas de la maison. Très bon contact avec le propriétaire qui est resté très disponible pendant notre séjour.

Magnifique séjour en Bretagne
Nous avons passé une très belle semaine dans une demeure pleine de charme et de caractère, bien entretenue, particulièrement bien équipée et qui bénéficie d'une splendide vue sur la mer.
La région est magnifique et vaut vraiment le détour.
Par ailleurs très bons contacts avec le propriétaire qui est particulièrement réactif et sympathique.

Un séjour tout confort hors du temps
Difficile de savoir par quoi commencer tellement notre séjour a en tous points été formidable. De la communication avec les propriétaires, à l'accueil sur place à notre arrivée, à leur disponibilité et arrangements divers pendant notre séjour pour répondre à nos questions, bref tout a été formidable.
Vous aimez les endroits un peu hors du temps, alliant le tout confort (électroménager, literie et équipements) à l'authenticité et l'âme d'une vieille bâtisse, pour vous ressourcer, passer du temps vrai avec votre famille ou vos amis, cet endroit ne pourra que répondre à vos attentes. Vous en repartirez heureux et ému :-) Merci encore Gilles!

Excellent séjour
Nous avons passé une super semaine dans cette belle propriété de la fin du 19ème siècle très calme et très ensoleillée.
Cette belle demeure a vraiment une âme et malgré son âge possède tous les éléments de confort.
De plus la vue sur la mer est splendide et les propriétaires très accueillants.
Bref un séjour que je recommande sans aucune hésitation.

excellent séjour
Nous avons passé une excellente semaine de Noël dans cette maison très grande, pleine de charme, parfaitement équipée et qui jouit de vues sur la mer. Saint Cast est une jolie station balnéaire très agréable et une semaine n'a pas suffi à découvrir toutes les merveilles qu'offre cette splendide région. Nous avons croisé le propriétaire en fin de séjour et avons eu un excellent contact avec lui.

Fantastic week at La Bertinière
We had a great week at the house which was really in top condition and showed the care that Gilles and his family have for the the property. There were 12 of us staying from three generations and the house provided ample space for bedrooms and also communal areas, including the large garden. St-Cast is also a lovely town with a nice beach.
Gilles the owner was very responsive and it was nice to meet him at the house at the beginning and of our stay. 5 stars from all 12 guests!
