Fantastic private villa!

Communication with Roland was friendly & responsive (and helpful for us as English speaking). He offered great suggestions for dining & travel. The location is the best in the Iguana Bay (end villa with excellent privacy, expansive views of Grande Terre & La Disirade, Anse a la Gourde beach access). Condition of unit is as pictured - very satisfactory vacation rental. Master bathroom shower has an enjoyable & unique "step down" feature. Secure hurricane blinds with convenient buttons to close up when leaving for the day. Large shaded porch area and ample seating throughout. Secure access with gate remote and parking next to villa. Functional & well equipped kitchen with dish & clothes washers. Drying rack included too. Amazing views from the interior (kitchen & living room doors & windows swing open to let the breeze flow through the villa). Proximity to many restaurants and attractions of Saint Francois area including Pointe des Chateaux (do the short hike to the summit)! Friendly welcome by Marie Helene (who provided us with starter items). Ear plugs are suggested for those light sleepers due to frogs singing in the night. Each bedroom is climate controlled (mini-splits), however, there are wooden louvers that do not filter the sound. Overall it was a great experience. We stayed 12 nights. Maison créole agréable

Nous avons passé 10 jours dans la villa Aloé et tout s'est très bien passé. La maison est agréable mais elle mériterais un bon rafraichissement. Malgré cela, elle est fonctionnelle et confortable. Par contre les photos de l'annonce datent de plusieurs années, il n'y a plus de cocotiers devant la piscine, ce qui est un plus car cela dégage la vue. On peut se garer devant directement avec sa voiture et faire demi-tour sans souci. Je vous conseille aussi fortement des bouchons d'oreilles car la nuit les chants des grenouilles Hylodes sont très fort, et les fenêtres créoles à persiennes en bois ne filtrent rien.

Magnifique séjour

La villa est très agréable avec une vue magnifique sur la mer. Nous avons été très bien accueillis par Marie-Hélène et le propriétaire a réagi efficacement quand on lui a mentionné que nos lavabos étaient bouchés ! Il y a une belle plage à proximité, à environ 400 mètres à pied, et quelques restos proches aussi. La maison est bien équipée, il ne manquait que les nouilles de piscine ! ;-) Nous recommandons cette maison sans hésiter.

Villa fabuleuse, séjour incroyable

Hostess Veronique était avenante et toujours disponible. La vue sur la mer de la villa fabuleuse. La villa était propre et très bien équipé. Très tranquille et paisible. Tous les services à proximité. Un rafraîchissement de la cuisine et des chambres serait pas recommandé. Voyage mémorable!

Spectacular view with great beaches at proximity

We rented the villa for a week and we were very satisfied with our choice. When we arrive to the villa Véronique gave us a warm welcome. She had buy bread, fruits and even a welcoming drink for us. The villa is facing the ocean so you have a spectacular view. It’s also 5 minutes walk to the beach and you can also walk in a trail until the end of Pointe des chateau. It’s a really nice easy hike and on the way you cross one of the most beautiful beach we’ve seen there. Véronique was always available to answer all our questions which was very appreciated. The villa had everything you need for cooking, they even have a grill outside for bbq and an outdoor shower which we used a lot. We absolutely adore our stay there and we would highly recommend this villa. We all wanna go back again. Thank you for our wonderful stay

BELLE VILLA ,TRES BIEN SITUEE,BELLE VUE SUR L OCEAN

Villa très bien située avec une superbe vue . Trés bon accueil et contact avec Véronique . Toujours présente au moindre problème et très réceptive . Bon contact avec le propriétaire . . Maison bien équipée et fonctionnelle . Il faudrait néanmoins changer la douche dans la chambre donnant sur la piscine . Entretien de la piscine hebdomadaire après relance auprès de Véronique . Travail du jardinier à revoir car invisible (seul reproche) Location à conseiller pour passer d'agréables vacances dans un cadre merveilleux .

Extraordinary place, two minutes away from a lush beach with good snorkeling. Great surf and kite surf beaches nearby. Amazing view from many angles on the property. Idyllique

Splendide maison dans une propriété fermée prés de l'Anse à La Gourde. L'accueil par Véronique est tout simplement irréprochable de sympathie et de disponibilité . L'équipement de la maison est complet ( voire plus ) . Les chambres sont grandes et très agréables . La piscine est un vrai bonheur . La vue à couper le souffle . Les personnes qui assurent l'entretien du jardin ou de la piscine sont d'une gentillesse et d'une discrétion totales.

Très bon séjour!

Nous revenons d'un séjour formidable à la Villa ALOE. Tout était conforme à ce qui était annoncé dans la description de la résidence. Ce que nous avons apprécié a été la proximité de tous les services, restauration, supermarchés etc. Pour nous Canadiens c'était d'avoir toutes les facilités françaises ( nourriture/vin ) dans un contexte de vacances-sud. Merci également à Veronika qui a su avec gentillesse répondre à toutes nos questions. Recommandons sans aucune hésitation en rappelant aux intéressés que dans le sud il faut concilier avec la nature... soit quelques petites bêtes inoffensives!

Un petit paradis

Nous revenons de 15 jours dans la villa Aloé avec nos 2 enfants (9 et 12 ans). La villa est grande et très bien équipée, il ne manque rien jusqu'aux palmes et masques pour profiter de la plage à 3 mn à pied. L'extérieur, avec sa vue paradisiaque sur la Désirade, est sans aucun vis à vis. La piscine, est juste à la bonne dimension (6m sur 3m profondeur 1m20) , pas trop petite pour y faire les fous à 4 mais pas trop grande pour la sécurité des enfants, le pisciniste intervient 2 fois dans la semaine pour la nettoyer tout en restant très discret. Véronika et toute son équipe ont été aux petits soins pour nous faciliter le séjour. Elle n'a pas hésité à faire intervenir en urgence, le 15 aout, un technicien spécialisé pour régler la clim récalcitrante d'une des chambres par exemple. Le jardinier nous a proposé de cueillir des noix de coco sur les cocotiers du jardin pour que nous les dégustions toutes fraiches au petit déjeuner. Bref, un séjour parfait dans une très belle villa de la résidence d'Iguana Bay. Nous avons hâte de pouvoir y retourner.

Wonderful villa with unbelievable view.

This smaller three bedroom villa has an unobstructed ocean view. The beach is a 5 minute walk, and is one of the best on the Island. Great for a family. 3 bedrooms en-suite arrangement provides privacy. The kitchen is well equipped with a pass through counter to the patio dining area. My compliments on the villa having salt, pepper, oil, vinegar and spices on hand, as most trips require we buy a pile of essentials which then go to waste. The pool is small and about 1M deep throughout. Refreshing on a hot day, but small. The living area is more than adequate, well equipped and has TV and stereo systems. They also had hundreds of DVD's in English. Also note they have a very nice built in charcoal grill and outdoor shower. We used both. Golf course ($30-40) is 10 minutes away. Best grocery shopping at Mega Casino, shop for produce at market in town center. Many restaurants surround the yacht marina (10 minute drive). There are so many restaurants to pick from you will not have an issue. Try Le Metis or Chez Christine. Go to the park at Pointe des Chateaux (5-10 minutes away). We felt Sainte Francois was the best location on Grande Terre. Upscale and quieter, but with all activities you could ask for in town. Good luck finding a parking space. Some of us liked Sainte Anne (20-30 minute drive, lots of shopping), I thought it too busy. Note that the roads and road system on Guadeloupe are among the best we have found on any Caribbean island. If you decide to go to Basse Terre, it is about an hour and a half to two hour drive. I would add a couple days to your trip and stay around Deschaises. Basse Terre is night and day different (mountains and jungle rather than flat and dry). Breathtaking scenery, nice beach, wildlife etc. Makes for a long drive if you do it as a day trip. Our agent, Veronika, was utterly charming and very helpful. In all, the view and quiet beach at the end of the drive make this villa a winner. Would give this 5 stars with a bigger pool, all else is 5 star.
