The staff is excellent, especially Carlos at night. He asked and had our room at a specific temperature on arrival and made us feel very much at home. Breakfast was quite good….but not free (24.50/p)

This was a delightful stay. The staff were among the most enthusiastic, attentive, and genuinely helpful I’ve encountered in recent memory. As soon as I pulled up in front, they immediately took care of every detail. The room was comfortable and well-appointed with thoughtful amenities, the breakfast was perfect with wonderfully personal attention, and at checkout they even sent us off with a small bag of water and snacks for the road. The location is ideal—just outside the old city wall and only steps from the magnificent Roman Bridge. Cross the street and you’re in the heart of the old town with hundreds of dining options. All thumbs up for both the hotel and its exceptional staff 👍

This has been probably the best hotel I’ve ever stayed. The hotel, amenities, room and location couldn’t be better but, more importantly, I want to recognize the entire staff that made our stay an unforgettable one. Excellent hotel, excellent service, very clean, very comfort pillow and bed, staffs are very thoughtful in everything. We have been taking in good care, Excellent breakfast! Easy walking to sight seeing area. Has own garage parking. I will recommend you to stay at this hotel. You will never regret.

We stayed at this beautiful hotel in September 2023. The staff were very helpful and professional, the room was great, and the location was perfect. It is just outside of the walls of old Salamanca and all of the important sites of the old city are easily walkable. The staff recommended excellent restaurants and got us convenient reservations.

To call this a Hotel is doing injustice. This is a Palace - in terms of service. Man! These guys have a hidden gem of a hotel in Salamanca. Best hotel that we stayed in on this trip. Fantastic experience. Loved it. They had our dinner reservations all (based on a message I sent before arriving) and welcomed us like long lost friends. WOW!

The staff makes this hotel so special! What kind and helpful individuals! The room was lovely and the breakfast served in a lovely room was bountiful! We could not have wished for more. Top ten hotel ever!

Honestly we have stayed in thousands of hotels and Hotel Rector would be in our top 10 - if you go to Salamanca this is the hotel to stay at. The staff especially Ignatius and Andrea went beyond the norms of reception - we would recommend the hotel it was fantastic.
