We all loved this property (five friends on a weekend break), it’s layout, the view from the house and the the location - tranquil and so close to nature. The open land infront of the house leads down the the river and views of Heale House on the other bank side. Swans and ducks on the water, and sheep grazing. It’s simply lovely. We were fortunate as it was Snow Drop week, and we visited Heale House to do the snow drop walk and see the wonderful gardens (great tea room too)
The house is very clean and well maintained. The underfloor heating is very efficient and warm! Bed linen was great, and nice towels, plenty of hot water. Good quality duvets and pillows. Mattresses on softer side. The kitchen is at the heart of the house and with lovely aspect looking out to the view, creates a great environment for meals (if not warm enough to eat outside) - we found the range cooker and electric oven instructions tricky - otherwise, the kitchen is well equipped, with adjacent utility room which is handy storage space. Ample parking space for three cars.
No mobile phone reception but the owners kindly have a landline for use if required. WiFi good.
This is a great place to stay.
