“The property is just as pictured in the listing and is beautiful. Communicating with the property manager was a bit of a challenge. They list a phone number but if you don't have a working cell phone when you land, the number is useless. They suggest communicating by WhatsApp and that is fine, as long as you have the internet, which you will not have in your vehicle. So, coordinating with the manager on arrival was a bit of a problem while in transit. The road to the property needs grading as it……

“Javier is an excellent host. Communicates well and is very responsive. Condo is a 13-minute walk from Playa Pelada and the beachside Olga’s Restaurant is highly recommended. Modern bathrooms and kitchen with plenty of water pressure. Air conditioning in bedrooms works well. Comfortable beds. Pool is a small plunge pool, handy for cooling off. Safe area with outside locked gate and codes for entry both to locked gate and condo. Recommend a 4WD or ATV to get around as some roads are steep,……

“The property and surroundings/atmosphere was amazing, thank goodness for the pool and having AC for sleeping. The kitchen was well equipped, easy to find everything and everything was there. We opted to use the shuttle service to get to and from the VRBO which I would recommend as we arrived shortly after 6pm and it was pitch dark. If we were traveling on our our own I highly suspect we could have easily gotten lost as the actual house locators are not marked that well. “Stayed here for guys surf trip. Great layout for 3-4 individuals with own private sleep areas and common rooms. Plunge pool was great for quick cool down and hang out area. 5 min walk to Bodhi Tree yoga resort which had classes every hour plus great breakfasts. 10-15 min walk to town or can call tuk-tuk. House is on quieter side of town and 5 min walk to the beach. Ryan was great help with dinner and surf reservations and wealth of knowledge about the area. Would definately stay here again.”

“Beautiful property! I hope I can come back again next year. Location was roomy, quiet and safe. We walked to the beach every morning for a swim and then Bohdi for yoga. House was so clean and comfortable. Lots of towels and linens for swimming and pool lounging. Concierge was so so helpful with bookings and questions. Highlights were the snorkeling trip and Coffee farm experience with Kenneth. One of our best finds ever! Enjoy”

“The villa is just as pictured. And I could literally live in the salt water pool. This home is away from sights, so I definitely suggest arranging a driver, as the roads are difficult to navigate. But this also gives you tranquility. The concierge Dani is absolutely wonderful. She planned the trip ahead of time with us and even helped us with a couple difficulties that arose. We also recommend booking a meal with their kind Chef Adrian.”

“The house is as advertised, beautiful and well equipped. The location is isolated enough for privacy, but only 35 minutes from Samara. There is air conditioning in all of the bedrooms, which is necessary given the heat and humidity. The property manager Diego is really helpful and communicative. A great location!”

“It is a very nice property in the nature and yet easily accessible. Supermarkets, restaurants, beach etc. is all nearby. Everything you need is available in the accommodation. Beautiful well-kept grounds and clean. Ideal for a vacation in Costa Rica. Just relax in the hammock or enjoy the pool. The landlord is nice and responds promptly to requests. “We had a wonderful 6 night stay in mid-February and it was ideal for our family get-away (adult kids and partners). The house is wonderful, well maintained, and plenty of room for everyone. Besides the amazing views of Samara beach and the daily flyby of the macaws, parrots and other birds, we had regular visits from the iguanas, and howler monkeys. The location is quite quiet and a bit of an oasis to unwind after exploring the various beaches around Samara. The pool was outstanding, used a lot……

“So, I want to be careful when writing this review. I’m not going to slam this place and say it’s total junk. It’s not. It is also not for anyone fancy, or anyone looking to enjoy a place near Sámara, and treat it as a home base. We stayed one night, and that was it. Carlos is a wonderful man who seems to be the manager. Very sweet, and you can tell he maintains the grounds and pool. The exterior of the cabanas are lovely, the pool is lovely, as are the flowers and such. I saw the reviews before……

“We stayed for 1 week with 9 of us sharing 6 bedrooms. The villa was clean and tidy and everything functioned well. Perched on the top of a cliff, the villa had great vies, though you could not swim in the sea below, due to the cliffs. Alexandra, our host for the week, prepared an excellent breakfast each day and then left us to our own devices. The rooms were cleaned as required and we used the in house chef one evening. His food was very good and reasonably priced. The local area has excellent……

“Plenty of room for 8 adults and 3 young children. It is an easy walk to the beach from the property. I would recommend renting a golf cart or car to get to town and neighboring Carrillo beach. The pool and outdoor space were very nice. The house is stocked with plenty of supplies for cooking. Cleaning staff came twice during our stay and did a great job. Great stay overall.”

“We visited 3 VRBOs while in Costa Rica. This was the best of the 3. Very nice accomodation; quiet, private, well appointed. Samara is a relaxing, easy going town with a fantastic beach and easy drive from Liberia. Alex and Carol were very helpful in preparing us for our trip (first time in Costa Rica), Leonie, the property manager, took care of any concerns immediatly. Wish we would have stayed longer.”
