Pet Friendly San Anselmo Property in the hills w/hiking, biking and relaxation

Looking to get close to nature? This hilly refuge is a great option for folks wanting to combine working remotely with rest and relaxation. Hiking trails and bike routes originate in our neighborhood. Deer roam freely on the property, sometimes in small herds, and it's a great bird-watching space. The apartment sits on a sunny and rustic acre 14 miles North of San Francisco. Off-street parking. Pets welcome.

We love hosting and had the vision when we started 15 years ago to create a funkeclectic place we’d find a joy to visit with original art and furnishings. Most of the art in the apartment is one-off and made by us or someone in the family. Our 600-square-foot apartment is attached to the main house where we, the hosts live. It has a private entrance into a sitting room/dining area and kitchenette along with a separate bedroom and bath suite.
Wireless access to high-speed wifi and cable TV. HBO and Showtime are the premium channels (you can watch TV in bed). The kitchenette is small and stocked. Suitable for light cooking only (heating up take out--morning coffee and tea). There is a sink, under-the-counter fridge/freezer combo, and microwave/convection oven that works very well for simple cooking and heating up. Recently, we added an induction burner. There are 2 types of coffeemakers: A 1-cup Keurig style and a French press, a plug-in kettle, and toaster are included. All china, pots, and utensils included as well as kitchen towels and table linens. Full-sized bedroom with a king-sized bed. Dresser has ample space and extra set of bed linens are provided. The bathroom has a large shower and twin sink vanity, a large walk-in closet with roomy storage space.

In addition, we ask you to take this into mind before booking:

* A signed rental agreement is necessary before check-in. No signed agreement will result in cancellation.

*Please review the size of the kitchenette to ensure it will meet your needs, especially for longer stays.

*This is an older home built in the 1950s. Some surfaces may be worn but they are clean.

* This is not a detached cottage or separate structure; there are shared walls so expect on hearing some of the common noises of everyday life like toilets flushing, water running, footfalls, etc.

*If you have any allergies to pet dander (dogs or cats) you may want to book another reservation. We accept pets and regardless of how deep we clean, sometimes remnants hang in there.

*Hosts live on the property

*According to guests, cellular service in this part of San Anselmo isn't the greatest. It can be spotty at times. On the other hand, our wifi is great for streaming and remote work.

*Rooms are a bit dark due to where the apartment is situated on the property.

* We're a mile from the closest town (Fairfax) and 14 miles North of San Francisco. You're going to need a car or Uber to get around.
