Check-in process started off great; however, our room wasn’t ready and we were told that housekeeping was running behind and given a 20 minute wait time. We were ok with that. 30 min later, I approached the counter to check on the progress of our room and was greeted by Shannon. I asked if we would be compensated being that our room was 2 hrs past our check-in time. Her demeanor was unpleasant, unapologetic, and very condescending; she couldn’t be bothered. I made a comment stating, “you’re not very nice are you” she replied “I’m very nice, I’ve never had a complaint,” I guess I’m the first to complain about her. She then proceeded to give me our keys, and sent me through the elevator that would have us walk the entire of the 4th floor to get to our room. This has been the worst experience at a Hilton property. I get it, this is budget but, does the staff need to act budget! Hope her day gets better, and treats guests with respect, after all, she’s a representative of this establishment.
