Great place and location. The hosts were very nice and easy to contact. The apartment was a great perfect size for us. Close to the beach and bay. Having the bicycles and beach chairs and boogie boards made it easy to have fun! Beds were comfortable. Needs a deep cleaning of bathroom fans and doors but we felt it was near- perfect for our stay!

I stayed one night in Mission Bay celebrating my birthday with my family. Upon checking into the apartment I noticed the floors have not been swept which is frustrating when you have a 1yr old playing with toys on the floor. They offered to send the cleaning crew back but it was too inconvenient. Later that day I noticed the bathtub was full of debri and i had to clean it when it was time to give my 1yr old a bath. Overall the location was great and the apartment had everything we needed but the cleanliness of the apartment did not make it very comfortable to stay in.

We needed a place for 2 nights, and this worked out great for us! 1 bedroom for the kids, 1 for us, & a nice-sized separate livingroom providing the space we needed. A provided parking space was great for our friends that wanted to meet us for a beach day. We chose this property mainly because of the bedrooms & close proximity to the bay/Beach, but also because it offered 2 beach cruiser bikes. Unfortunately, 1 of the bike's seats had been stolen! The owner sent someone over right away to help, but we still had to rent our own bikes. The owner mentioned that offering the bikes was more of a hassle, & they plan to void that extra perk in the future, but having 2 bikes was really one of my pushes to choosing this property! All the extras on vacation really add up, so I hope they choose to keep this offered in the future. If not, the bike rental place is just at the end of the court/alley, so it's very convenient. Another HUGE perk was all of the restaurants, café/bakeries, & juice shops in such close walking distance!! We had delicious breakfast just a couple houses away (Olive Café & Olive Baking Company for the WIN!!!), Juice Wave for a lighter breakfast option or mid day energizer, & Single Fin Grill for some fabulous fish tacos! But the major plus to this location (in addition to all the above) was the close proximity to the bay (2 houses away, with a park in walking distance for the kids), & the ocean just across the street and steps away! Would return!

Nice accommodations, easy walk to the beach. Beach toys were helpful. However, I am giving only 3 stars for the following reasons: was very disappointed to find the BBQ in the condition it is in. Especially for the price of the place. Also, there is no dishwasher and was not enough dish soap provided so we had to leave our dishes as is. The place gets hot quick if you don’t have the A/C constantly running, which is only in the front room. The coffee maker needs to be updated and hot water should be turned down, it almost scalded me.
