House is amazing and makes you want to stay inside. However the beach being only a few steps gots us to step outside. Also walking distance to restaurants and bars to make the night exciting.

Everything Excellent from home to views to management, etc.

This is our second stay at this home. We usually like to try different properties when we travel but we were so impressed by everything to do with this home last year that we stayed again this year.

Great location and view

Highly recommend this property for it's central location with easy walkability to local restaurants and shops. Beautiful views of the ocean. Management company was responsive.

Great location. Spectacular house at the beach

We had a party of 10 including four children. It was perfect for location and amenities. The kids really liked the big media room to watch movies and cartoons. It was also fun to watch the football playoffs in there. Lots of parking (five cars) And a gate it closes off the driveway for security. We enjoyed it so much that we are coming back next year.There are two kitchens that are fully stocked with a silverware plates, glasses, etc. Two subzero refrigerator so plenty of room for storage for food and drinks. Comfortable furniture and a large dining room table for dining and playing games.

Great location, perfect for group

3 generations, 11 people and we fit comfortably. The location was great for beach access. The house is a little funky and dated, could do with a bigger dining table if meant to host 10-14. Also the bottom floor is almost totally separate from the rest of the house apart from an elevator. Cool for us but could be an issue for others. An intercom to the downstairs may be a good idea

Many small things that need to be corrected

Nice property, bit outdated for the times. Great location with easy beach access and good driving distances to most of the San Diego area. Several small issues that distract from the stay including blinds and curtains that are broken, piece of broken furniture that could have caused a problem if it collapsed, spa not working, numerous lights needed to be replaced or fixed. These items were all shared with property management post stay. We enjoyed our time in the area and the stay was acceptable but all the little things need to be addressed.

Broken

If it wasn't for all the "broken" elements, we would have found this place to be pretty great. At our walk-through with Patrick on check in day, we were told that the hot-tub, drapes, and ventilation to the theater room were all broken, and should result in a nice discount. Also, there was really no response to our inquiry about the two large, depressing, dead plants on the patio, one of which we removed. A hot tub was a requirement when making our property selection, as we are well-aware of "June Gloom" so that was the most annoying of the issues. This "change in amenity" is something that we should have been notified of in advance. The drapes were in all different levels of disarray. The worst situation being that we had to move one of the drop down shades so we had a little coverage over one of the bedroom patio doors. Even with that move, there was very little blockage of light, making it impossible to sleep-in during our vacation. We utilized the theater room every night, with the lack of ventilation making it uncomfortable. Beyond what the rental company knew about before we arrived, we made them aware of the following issues on our second day: Burned out shower light-which we replaced Broken a/v control frame Stained carpet throughout Sticky/difficult front gate key-which is needed every time we left the property without a car. Shower diverter broken and handle comes off (2nd floor East bedroom)-others broken so needed to use hand held head Need more characters!

Amazing location

If I could give the property 4.5 stars, I would. Overall, this is a VERY impressive house and location. On the quiet, north side of Pacific Beach...you feel like you are right on the ocean. I would stay here again because of the location. Great restaurants and sights in walking distance. Bluewater rentals was very prompt with communication and I could tell they were trying hard. We had issues with the hot tub. Even after fixing, it never seemed very "hot". The electronic shades on the entire top floor are not working and with the large windows, you can feel a bit exposed. Again, the rental company was aware of these issues and said they are trying to fix them. To get to the bottom floor, you MUST use the elevator or take outdoor stairs. This ended up being fine by the end of the stay, but it took getting used to. And if we would have had a younger family using all three floors, it would have made it pretty inconvenient. The kitchen is well stocked. There are not a lot of other "home" like things, though. Not really extra blankets, no games we could find, etc. Again, some people might like the "sanitized" house feel...but one of the things our family enjoys about most VRBO homes is the character that comes from how people choose to furnish the home. There are parts of the home that are worn (e.g. shower fixtures that are semi-functional, well-loved furniture), but it didn't detract from the overall experience. Again, overall great stay. But for the cost, 4.5 stars.

Amazing Stay!

We had a group of good friends stay at this property for a weekend getaway in January. Although the weather didn’t cooperate this home provided the oasis we needed to still enjoy the weekend. Incredibly clean and spacious with top-notch management. Plenty of space and onsite activities to keep us all busy.

Everything was perfect - just wished check in/out was more flexible

This home is exactly as described and pictured. You will not find a more scenic/idyllic location on the Southern California coast. The house is large, and very clean. Could use some stylistic/aesthetic updates, but that doesn't subtract from the experience. Our only complaint is that there wasn't flexibility around check in/out times. Other than this, everything was perfect!

Family reunion for five siblings and their spouses from out of town.

This was the perfect house for my five siblings and their spouses who are in their 70’s to all be together in one room to socialize and eat our meals together. Each had their own bathroom which was important to them. Everyone said they enjoyed their vacation and the ocean. Thank you and they want to come back again.

Good experience

We recently stayed in this location and it was wonderful. The house is exactly as pictured. It's in a great location and just steps from the beach. Wonderful view of the Pacific from multiple locations in the home. There were 11 adults and we enjoyed every inch of the home. Everything was in working order and easy to use including the grill, hot tub and outdoor fireplace. My only suggestions would be to add a grill brush - the grill was not clean and there was no way to easily clean it before or after using. The beds are firm (which was fine for me) but some of my family thought they were a bit too firm. There were no extra blankets anywhere in the home which was unfortunate. For the price we paid, it would have been nice to have a couple of blankets for those that sleep at different temperatures. Kitchen is well stocked with equipment, furniture was comfortable and we loved all of the outdoor space. Home has 2 laundry areas which was nice. Only thing I didn't realize is that one of the bathrooms is not attached to the bedroom so keep that in mind when planning. The bedroom on the main level has the bathroom next door but no access from the bedroom. Overall, a wonderful experience.

Fantastic Beach House

This house is perfect for groups of small families or couples traveling together. It has three floors with bedrooms that allow privacy at night. It is literally steps from the beach with views from most windows. We enjoyed our stay and the interactions with the property managers.

Location, location, location!

Loved the house! Chose this place for a family reunion. Very secure. Located steps from beach and only a couple blocks from PB shops and restaurants (definitely within walking distance) and pier. Very clean and well kept! Check in walk through was a nice touch. Views from every room! Rooms are large and bathrooms are big. Spa is bigger than it looks in pictures. Theater was amazing. Beware if you don’t like elevators because access to bottom floor is thru elevator or outside stairs. Not an issue for us and everyone loved the place!! Also, bring your yoga mats - outside yoga on the cliffs at law beach lawn draws a large crowd for all levels! Definitely would stay again!!
