Hyatt Regency San Francisco
10/10 Excellent
"This was a business and pleasure visit that checked all the essential boxes for comfort, cleanliness, quiet, and space. The highlights included a spectacular bay view from my balcony and thankfully - a bathtub (by request) for much needed relaxation. Among my side notes, I was hoping to order room service to enjoy my view on mother's day. Instead, my daughter and I enjoyed the buffet brunch in the lobby. While I missed that bay view, the vibrant lobby setting never disappoints. I also enjoyed dining at the bar in the lobby the night before. Experienced great service, food and drink on both occasions. Electronics in the room could use some attention. The LG television system kept reverting to the main menu screen while trying to view programs and the relaxation audio system did not work. It had a severed chord. As a SF native, staying at the Hyatt Regency - Embarcadero (on occasion) always rejuvenates my love of this great city. I do howerver miss public access to the revolving former Equinox room at the top. Seems a shame to only allow access to guests paying a higher price. Hope more thought goes into reverting to a public space. Regardless, I will of course return. Looking forward to next time. "

Crowne Plaza San Francisco Airport by IHG
2/10 Terrible
"Sad to see such a well known brand be represented the way it is at this location. The elevators need to be serviced as they were going to floor all on their own which creates delays. The staff seemed uninterested in fixing this or acknowledging a safety concern for a 10 story building having elevator issues. Rooms are only cleaned by request and that doesn’t result in any price decrease for bypassing that. The restaurant has decent food but pushes the overpriced and underwhelming buffet. The prepaid breakfast is indeed cheaper but it doesn’t state that is the only option when purchased. Additionally, the restaurant was closed one more and getting any sort of refund was tedious. They removed a day of parking which was nice, although they told me when I checked in the parking lot is owned by different people so curious how that works out. And that gets to the parking. The parking lot needs refinishing and cars have been parked there for months without moving (I was there a few months back and reluctantly had to stay here again…I won’t make that mistake again). There is nowhere to park other than the $25 (or more) per night. I’m wondering how many other businesses get to charge a paying customer to arrive at their business and charge for staying. I know this isn’t unique to this hotel although they were unwilling to provide options or concessions to the price."
