I had a great stay at Parc 55. Nice spacious room. Nice view. Helpful and welcoming staff. Mavis was fantastic and an absolute pleasure to work with. Everything was very accessible. Wide choice of dining options. Easy access to mass transit. I would certainly recommend Parc 55.
The hotel room was nicer than I expected. The abandonment by retailers along Powell St and the closure of Nordstrom make the neighborhood less attractive. The car ride away from downtown through the Tenderloin was scary with the numbers of street people far greater than I’ve ever seen. Human feces on the sidewalks along Market St. and homeless encampments near City Hall make SF an unattractive destination.
