The hotel is self was beautiful. Staff was very helpful and everything looked clean and sanitary. Unfortunately, the room was way too small . Would definitely consider coming back but wouldn’t recommend getting the standard room ..

I enjoyed my stay. My sister and I stayed in one of the smaller rooms but there was plenty of room for us. We enjoyed our handcrafted cocktails by Anson at the Post. The door staff were very friendly. The location was super convenient in terms of walking to city attractions and using the BArt from the airport. I’d stay here again.

I come to The Grand Beacon often just to get out of the East Bay! I absolutely love this hotel! The staff, the bars (The Post and The Starlight Room) are amazing!!

Our stay was lovely. The staff were incredibly helpful whenever we needed something. Area around the property was very convenient for taking the BART or walking. Only comment was that the rooms are a touch on the small side.

The hotel is beautiful and really conveniently located just off Union Square. The beds are very comfortable, and the blackout curtains were definitely appreciated. There are just a couple minor things that prevent me from giving the Beacon Grand a full 5 stars. We generally don't mind small square footage rooms; however our Classic Room (king bed) was a little awkward to move around in. The bed was placed in a way that there was barely more than a foot of space between the foot of the bed and the wall you have to pass to get the to the bathroom. Another small issue for us (maybe not for others) was that the air vent is directly over the headboard, meaning the air conditioning blew right onto our heads while we were sleeping. If you don't mind the feeling or don't need to run air/heat, it's pretty negligible.

Historic building. Room was dusty. We checked in on the fourth of July. Staff didn't mention that we could view fireworks from the bar on the 21rst floor. When we did go up to check out the 21rst floor bar called the Starlight. We were told we needed a reservation even tho we are guests at the hotel. They allowed us to stand at the bar.
