The hotel is great on its own, staffs were helpful and friendly, and overall great bang for your buck . However it’s not in the best neighborhood, homeless are loitering around and it’s really noisy at night. Windows are not sound proof but the hotel does provide earplugs. Theres also a strong smell I can’t put my finger on, I won’t say it’s bad but it’s not pleasant either. Overall more than passable if you have noise cancelling earbuds and fine with rougher neighborhoods.

Hotel is in a busy area with Homeless 2 blocks down. So be aware of your surroundings. Maybe this is normal for a busy city??? Upon entering security locked door- Nice Front Desk Staff and Clean Small Lobby. You can use stairs or Elevator a PLUS!! Room was very small, sheets were tough- bed not too comfortable but good enough. This is also a HOSTEL so be prepared for that- The good thing about it was there is 24/7 Coffee in community kitchen and extra bathrooms in 2nd floor hallway. Housekeeping girl was always on her phone so rooms were not cleaned as requested. BUT overall a FAIR stay!

I didn't prepay for my stay and after a warm welcome back(my prior stay being 8 months or so), I mentioned not prepaying; when she asked me why? I said, "I don't know, I wasn't sure if I was going to stay here or somewhere else, but I don't even know why I bother, I always find myself back here." Appreciated the early check in around 11 or so, after a very early morning of travel. Usually have a larger room, but considering the time of check in I wasn't going to ask otherwise. If you want a bit more space book a king room for not much more, I think I forgot and booked a queen this time. Some of the furnishings are becoming a bit worn down and the hotels while offering roku tvs, no longer offer access to roku or other streamers. Hulu did work, it may have been an issue with that particular TV, but it wasn't the most pressing issue when I just wanted to freshen up. Everytime I pass through the lobby/check in or check out, I feel appreciated as a returning guest. My requests are always met when I stay at Found and the warm service always reminds me that I "found hotel"as I was told by one staff member when I first stayed a few years ago. A prime Union Square location coupled with comfortable rooms and a great staff is why I always find my way back.

This hotel is in an incredible location, close to BART and the F line, which makes getting around the city very easy! The front door is locked at all times and the front desk staff is very friendly. As a solo traveler, I really appreciated my time at this hotel!

It was quiet and comfortable, but very tight quarters for the two-bunk room. The hotel door is locked and a sign says to knock, but I was stuck outside at 10 pm when I arrived until someone came to the front desk and heard me. They could use a bell that alerts a staff-member who steps away. It’s good for a cheap and comfortable stay.

The hotel heating did not work in all 3 rooms we were switched to, we spent most of our time moving rooms and we were only there for one night. The manager gave us back half the price of the room and allowed us to stay past check out so we could explore the city. Although I feel like it should have been free because it was so uncomfortable due to the room temperature. The space heater did not help because of the ventilation of the rooms and one room even had a broken window. We were offered a complimentary stay however it was limited until the end of year and I would not go back in the winter without proper heating.
