Loved this Property!

I spent more than two weeks here, and I agree with many other reviews: the property is beautiful, peaceful and spacious - as pictured, with large windows (and shades throughout), well-appointed kitchen and laundry, as clean as can be, private and secure. Host is onsite and helpful but not intrusive, and provided a wonderful selection of welcome snacks. Very close to downtown San Rafael. Near the top of a steep hill, but several choices for driving there.

Immaculate, spacious and well appoointed

Have just finished my 2nd stay in this Vrbo and will definitely keep coming back. The bedroom is a nice size and the kitchen/dining room/living room space is nicely laid out. The communication with the owners, when needed, is spot but otherwise there is complete privacy. A thumbs up all the way around.

Recently spent 4 nights at this great San Rafael property. Looks exactly as pictured & it was just lovely. Spacious & well equipped. Nice open living area with comfy sleep sofa. Master bedroom was huge with lots of storage. Parking on site. Hosts were very nice & responsive to questions. Highly recommend.

This place was perfect for our needs. Quiet, private property. My wife and I rented this place to stay at during our visit for a wedding. Had everything we needed. Serenity Above San Rafael

What a delight to arrive to such a charmingly appointed guest house. We had a nightmare flight to the Bay Area so the peace and quiet that met us was sorely needed. And what a treat to find a welcoming note, drinks in the frig, and a great assortment of snacks, which we quickly proceeded to devour. This was the perfect place to come back to after a series of lively reunions. We will most definitely stay again when we return!

You'll feel at home here.

This apartment was perfect for our stay, well-appointed with interesting decorative features. The owners were attentive and thoughtful. A welcome note and snacks were waiting when we arrived. The kitchen was well equipped including spices and coffee. The washer & dryer was a plus and a big bonus for us was the use of the Tesla charger overnight. Loved the original outdoor artwork. San Rafael's location makes it convenient to the city or head north to Muir Woods or wine county.

Peaceful retreat

My friend and I spent a few days in this lovely and very comfortable space. The setting was beautiful and it was a great central location for visiting Muir Woods, Napa, Point Reyes and Tomales Bay. The hosts have created a peaceful retreat for their guests. Highly recommend!

The most AMAZING vacation rental ever!

There is not enough high praise we can give to the hosts, Sue and Steve. They are so thoughtful and gracious--they went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. They anticipated our needs but were never intrusive. Their gracious hospitality is beyond words—I’ve never had hosts as thoughtful, gracious, responsive, and accommodating as Sue and Steve. We LOVED the beautiful space--we were immersed in nature (we saw deer walking alongside the property) and beautiful art. It is one of the most beautiful and comfortable vacation rentals we’ve ever stayed at and I've stayed at numerous vacation rentals for work and for leisure travel. We are WOW’d by all that Sue and Steve did to make our stay enjoyable and memorable. We were fortunate to meet them on the day of our departure and they were just as warm and gracious in person as they were in our email and text exchanges. Thank you, Sue and Steve, for making our stay SPECTACULAR!

Beautiful and peaceful

Thank you so much for a lovely stay! It was peaceful and beautiful. We loved the big windows, the decor, the fireplace and all the thoughtful details like snacks and shampoos etc. We'd love to return. Just as a heads up, the roads to get there are a little scary (winding, size of a 1-way but meant for 2-way). But worth navigating for the stay!

Magical nest

Awe inspiring beauty in this little gem tucked away in the hills of San Rafael. The hosts were extremely gracious and non intrusive. The property is dotted with some incredible sculptural art pieces and photographs. The on line photos accurately depict the apartment. Highly recommend this magical nest for couples. Beautiful, comfortable apartment in San Rafael hills. Check-in was easy and efficient. Queen-size bed is comfy. Laundry on-site. Easy access to Hwy 101. Hosts left us a welcome basket of snacks and note with their contact information in case anything came up or provide recommendations on things to do and places to go in the area. Highly recommend!

I've rented a lot of vrbo's and this is the first one where the rental was just as nice, if not nicer, than the pictures. The great room was spacious and although the kitchen looked small in the pictures, there was actually plenty of counter space. Everything was very clean and in great condition. I loved the stylish decor and art displays - inside and outside! The couch was very comfortable and the TV was easy to use. Steve and Sue provided excellent instructions for operating everything and also a lovely snack basket. I would usually see them in the garage or driveway when I was coming and going and they always asked me if I needed anything. They do a great job of taking care of their renters without being obtrusive. This house is in a beautiful location in the hills close to hiking and walking trails and you can even walk to downtown San Rafael. Be prepared to walk down a steep driveway and steps to access the rental. The roads can be narrow and winding, so I think the best way to get there is to take Laurel Pl. to Robert Dollar Dr.

Perfext for exploring the area

This apt was perfect for exploring the local area. The decor was lovely and the hosts were thoughtful. We attended a wedding in Oakland, visited family in SF, visited the Muir Woods and several wineries. Local restaurants were yummy!

Wonderful property in the hills of San Rafael

I highly recommend staying with Steve and Sue if you're looking for a comfortable and convenient location near the San Rafael/San Francisco Bay/Napa area. My husband and I recently spent nine nights in their beautifully decorated, amenity filled apartment. Privacy was not an issue even though the home owners live on the upper level. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the necessities to prepare meals (spices, appliances, cutlery, utensils, etc.) I really appreciated the choice of two coffee makers. I was able to enjoy a cup of coffee immediately upon arrival after a long day of traveling because Steve and Sue provided all the necessary supplies. The location is convenient to the 101 highway which is the main route to all destinations in the area. We spent many days adventuring in San Francisco, hiking in the hills, and visiting family. We would definitely stay with Steven and Sue again!

Lovely Apartment with Views

This apartment had all the amenities of home, it was impeccably clean, beautifully furnished, and contained everything needed in the kitchen to cook all your meals. The views from the living room were beautiful, making it feel like an oasis.
