The Alta Peruvian is where you meet people who have been coming here for decades. The mountain is great and the place is very convenient placed to make the most of it

Old fashioned communal ski lodge

Traditional ski lodge with communal dining and mostly shared bathrooms. Great pool, hot tub and perfect location 200 yards from ski lift. Staff mostly very friendly although slight end of season tiredness. Would recommend. Included mreals decent - dinner actually very good.

The property is convenient to skiing but very outdated. The alpine rooms are small and in need of a major upgrade. No amenities in the room whatsoever - no tv, one set of overhead lights, one pair of outlets in the entire room, rooms were VERY warm at night with no ability to control individual room temps, Our shower wouldn’t drain and as they were unable to fix it we had to shower 2 doors down. The staff was very friendly and helpful but in an outdated property such as this, there was only so much they could do. Food was fine (not great) but we did find that eating every meal with others you didn’t know was sometimes not what we wanted to do. It would have been nice to have that option, but not expected at every meal. A good place if you truly just need a bed after a long day of skiing, but if you want any amenities whatsoever this may not be the place for you.

Absolutely classic ski lodge experience

The Alta Peruvian Lodge is a step back in time to classic early era ski culture. Resorts like these are hard to come by and it's an absolute treat to stay there. I can't wait for my next trip.

This is a gem of a hotel. Certainly not the Ritz. But if you are a skier and want a really friendly place to stay, talk and be with other skiers this is the place.

Alta Peruvian is a classic mountain lodge with a memorable scene. However, be prepared to adjust your expectations. We didn’t have hot water for showers most evenings and some of our ski gear was stolen from the storage area. The rooms are what they are. Despite its shortcomings, you might love the Peruvian for what it is and come back year after year.

This is a classic old ski lodge. Ski shop and all your skiing needs are in-house. Classic all-inclusive meal plan. You are seated with different people each night for dinner. Rooms are rustic, but as expected for a building that was once an army barracks. The old school vibe can not be beat.

Everything was as good as it has always been. We greatly missed 'movie nights',fresh cookies in the main lobby at the end of a ski day, and while walking buy the front desk the staff no longer looks up and says 'have a great day'.
