Would not hesitate to stay here again. Not directly on the beach, but only a very short walk. I received a lovely warm welcome, and the room was just lovely. It had a very nicely furnished balcony, and a slight view of the ocean. The room and bathroom were extremely clean. I had a small refrigerator, and a room safe. There was also a dryer and the basic bath soaps etc provided. The bed was comfortable, the only thing being that it seems that they use a plastic bed cover to protect their mattresses under their sheets, and that felt a bit uncomfortable, but really glad they use one! The linens were very nice....nice thick bath towels. I did not partake in the breakfasts during my stay, but I did see the buffet, and it looked like they provided a very nice continental breakfast. Everyone there was so friendly and nice. No question or request was left unaddressed. A perfect stay!

Coralie was super friendly, helpful and a great host. The hotel is 2 mins from the beach and opposite a great Pizza restaurant which is always busy with locals. A wonderful stay!

Old hotel. They keep it clean and they’re very very nice people, but it’s not the nicest place, the walls are paper thin and you’re still 20 minutes from Taormina which isn’t mentioned in the description.

This is the place to go

Familiengeführtes Hotel mit jederzeit hervorragend, liebevoller Betreuung durch die Eigentümer. Jedes Zimmer mit Balkon gegen Garten und Meerseite. Trotz angrenzender Strasse ruhige Zimmer. Blitzsauber und täglich gut gepflegt. Und gutes Frühstück im Garten! Wer gerne ein Hotel an der attraktiven Küste nahe von Taormina, jedoch ausserhalb des hektischen Touristenrummels möchte, der liegt hier genau richtig. Es gibt ausreichend freie, kostenlose Parkplätze gleich um die Ecke. Gute Pizzeria gleich gegenüber. Wir genossen den abendlichen Spaziergang entlang der Küste mit herrlichem Blick auf‘s Meer.

The staff were the best part of this experience. We felt like family after 7 nights together. Absolutely couldn't be nicer. The beds could use some updates but we could look beyond that because the hospitality was amazing. When we did ask for something they got right on it!

Everything about this hotel was wonderful. We had a great time because the owners of the hotel were personable and helpful. We developed a friendship with the matriarch of the family who owned the hotel! The hotel was in a nice location -highly recommended. You may think you want to stay in Taoromina proper, but it is way too busy and expensive. This hotel was in a location that allowed us to dine locally (excellent pizza and pasta right across the street), go to the beach, and then use public transportation or our rental car to go to Etna, the Aeolian islands, and shopping in Taoromina. Excellent wine was available in the hotel as was an authentic Sicilian breakfast. The rooms were charming and comfortable with a nice view.

Wonderful staff and breakfast was excellent. The room was very clean. If I ever come back to Sicily, I would stay here. It is a bit out of the way if you're coming during off-peak season since the public transportation is scarce. I would rent a car next time.

Coralie and her staff were always so nice and helpful. The breakfast had a variety of delicious options. The property is conveniently located close to the beach and a couple really good restaurants. We 100% preferred the beach in line with the hotel compared to the private one that the shuttle brings you to because you’re dependant on the shuttle service to get back which was not reliable when we were there and much more uncomfortable rocks under our feet.

1) Donna Rosa is a clean and well operated hotel that offers excellent value in a great location. The hotel staff was friendly and the breakfast was excellent! 2) The beach is very nice with clear waters and only five minutes walk from the hotel front door. 3) The hotel is less than fifteen minutes from Savoca, where the Godfather movie was filmed. There are lots of very picturesque vista points in Savoca. 4) The hotel owner and manager, Coralie, went out of her way to answer our questions and provided valuable tips to make our exploration of the area enjoyable.

L’Hotel Donna Rosa è una piccola struttura alberghiera posta in una palazzina a due piani senza ascensore , quasi di fronte il litorale (con spiaggia libera). Le uniche note non positive sono rappresentate dalla presenza della Chiesa a meno di 20 metri dalla struttura (che rappresenta una nota non positiva per il normale uso delle campane..) e della difficoltà a parcheggiare l’auto (perché la struttura non è dotata di proprio parcheggio) ma si possono trovare parcheggi comunque nelle vicinanze. Il personale è cortese , sono accettati gli animali che viaggiano con gli ospiti, la struttura è silenziosa, la colazione discreta e dalla corte interna (dal primo e secondo piano si vede il mare). La struttura dista meno di 15 km da Taormina e meno di 7km da Letojanni e quindi è sicuramente molto comoda per consentire di visitarLe senza doverci soggiornare. Il lungomare è bello e sicuramente vale la pena viverlo. Nel complesso una piacevole scoperta .
