The hotel location was perfect, literally right in front of stern’s wharf. Staff was nice and the rooms were clean. Just be aware that there is two buildings. The main building and the north building. The north building isn’t on the beach, but is just a few minutes walk or a 30 second drive from the main building

I would like to start by saying the location of this hotel is amazing. My wife and I booked this stay to celebrate our 20th anniversary. We arrived early and our room was not ready, which was completely understandable. The location is perfect, so there was plenty to do while we waited. For background, we booked our stay through Expedia. When our room was ready, we received a call confirming it and returned to check in. To our surprise, our room was not located on the hotel property, but across the street and a block away. While the room itself was nice, it felt more like a remodeled apartment than a hotel room. This separate location has no amenities and no on-site staff. If you want something as simple as a $7 bottle of water, you have to walk a block back to the main property to reach the front desk. If you want to use the hotel’s advertised pool area, you have to walk down the street in your swimsuit like anyone else who is not staying at the hotel. We were very disappointed and asked management why we were placed off the main property. It was clear this has been a concern for other guests, as management stated this issue has been raised before. When we asked if there was anything that could be done to move us onto the property, they were very firm that nothing could be done. We also expressed that the hotel’s website is misleading, as at no point are you informed that you may not be staying on the actual property. Unfortunately, management was less than accommodating.

the room was ok but i called before i got there to enquire about parking and i was told their wasn’t valet parking but there would be self parking available but the night we checked in they said self parking was available for a 30 a day fee so wasn’t too happy about this i think they could of informed me when i called , also this place offers no brunch and not even a coffee in the lobby or a bottled water they want you to purchase a bottled water for 5 dollars, i’ve stayed in santa barbara multiple times and this was my first time at this place i will not be returning again as i don’t think the price is comparable to the other places i’ve stayed in that offer more for less money . maybe they can supply a couple bottle waters in the room for their guests that just get in from a long drive don’t think that’s too much to ask for

This was our first stay at Harbor View Inn..and it won’t be our last! The staff were very friendly & helpful. Parking was easy to access. A major plus is the property is right next to Jeannine’s! Best breakfast spot in SB! The room was beautiful! Super clean with beautiful views. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had a great stay at the Harborview Inn Hotel. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and the grounds were well kept. The location is a huge plus—you’re right across from the beach and within easy walking distance to restaurants and shops. We also enjoyed the pool and sauna, which were both nice and relaxing. The only downside was that the hotel buildings are split across from each other, so you do have to walk a bit to get to the pool. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay and a great spot if you want to be close to the beach.

Perhaps the best hotel we stayed in US, even beats most of the 5-star hotels. The room is large and spacious, the bathroom has walk-in show stall which is almost hard to find in U.S., something already a household feature for many decades. The staff are friendly and helpful and the location is simply perfect.
