The room the staff the amenities were all great. The pot smell in the middle of the night was not so great. Must have been someone outside our room smoking it. We had to turn off our air. Then about 6 am someone was very loud outside our room. Not the motels fault just rude patrons. I would not blame the motel at all! Would definitely recommend staying there. Just hope you don’t have get rude people.

I’ve come here a couple of times and it’s always been pleasant this last time the night before I was going to leave these people check in. They keep the door open and they start talking on the phone very loud.. I mentioned to the front desk that I’d like to have another room. I was told nothing was available. The guy asked me what the problem was. I mentioned the woman he went over to talk to her. Have no idea what he said, but the night was miserable after he talked to her. They were making noise after 11 PM and I had to leave early in the morning so it was a very miserable last night at this hotel that I previously looked forward to going to. If you’re going to talk loud on the phone, it seems to me you might want to close your door. After the front desk talk to her there was quite a bit of noise during the evening. Someone came over to visit them again. They’re standing there with their front door open and they’re all talking there and it was just noisy and not what I was looking for Being respectful is a good thing. I am saddened and frustrated by the experience. I was told by the guy at the front desk that there were no rooms available however, when I spoke to a different guy in the morning, he told me there were four rooms that were available last night and that’s odd because I could’ve had one of those rooms as I originally requested and I would have not had this special experience.

Amazing view and perfect location near the beach. Also a short walk to a grocery store and taco truck! The soda machine was out of order, but we appreciated the free coffeein the lobby. We were 45 minutes early and were able to check in, but it does cost you twenty bucks. If you need service while you are there, be sure to ask on check in. They didnt ask me, so by the second day i had to ask for towels, as two towels are not enough for three nights and two adults. The 60s theme is great and this is the nicest Motel 6 I've ever stayed in. The room fridge is a good size. I only wish there was a microwave and coffee maker! They provide Dove brand shampoo, conitioner, body wash, hand soap, and lotion, which I love and didn't even use the shampoo I brought. There is no kleenex, so you'll have to use the toliet paper. The a/c fan is great, you can have the fan on all the time for sleeping and is loud enough to mimic my home fan i have to sleep with every night. The bed was comfy and has cool lighting on top of the bed frame. Would stay here again over more pricey choices in a heartbeat!

Guy at the front desk was just average, not bad, but not accommodating. After informing the front about the soda machine not working, I know, you get what you pay for, but just I’m sorry the soda machine is broken wouldn’t been better, instead i got There’s a store just down the street. It’s still a great value for Santa Barbara, but basic customer service is still appreciated. Also, bottle wine with reservation was a nice perk, I asked if there was any red, was told no and the bottle was put behind counter, had to request that the white was still OK, again, the little things make a difference

The place was recently renovated cutely. It was clean. Great location, within walking distance to zoo, beach and a couple of nice restaurants. Just a couple of issues. We were 2 adults and two children. We had a room with two beds. The room was tiny. The beds were double size mattress (smaller than queen) and the room was so small that they were pressed up against each wall. The rooms air conditioner was literally touching the bed, making it impossible to turn it on at night without getting sick. The mattresses were extremely hard. The room had no Kleenex, iron, coffee maker. We were given only two washcloths for four people, and when my husband went to the office and asked for more, he was told they were out. They allowed dogs, unfortunately, the dog in the room next to us started barking at 5 o’clock in the morning and on. They did have coffee in the lobby in the morning. Overall, it was good, they could improve on some things.
