Disappointing
Except for the two issues of no television service and no heat in the living area, we had an okay time. The rental was clean, the bed mattress was excellent and the location was very good to get to the beach. Because of the strong winds we had, I would suggest that the tree branches be cut back from the building. Also for future renters it would be a great idea to give written instructions to use the tv when it gets fixed. We did not use the dishwasher or the microwave so I don’t know how they work.

July 4th week stay
Great for a couple . Plenty of space and close to seaside and Greyton . Only issue was the wifi was weak and could not make or receive any phone calls while in the unit . Other then that , Great stay !

Ruined weekend
My wife and I booked a quick little weekend getaway. The house was very nice and was very clean. The issues we had was there is absolutely zero cell signal where we were. To get a text or make a call you had to walk to the road. The wifi was horrible due to it only being a booster and not a router. With kids at home with their grandparents we needed to be able to get in contact. Also when you run both TVs off of network based programs( Netflix, Hulu, youtubetv, etc) and don’t have cable you need a wifi signal. The tv volume downstairs also didn’t work so there was zero sound. We called the after hours help desk as soon as we got there and they said they would send a maintenance man the next morning. There was nothing he could do to fix it but he tried anyway. The help desk said since it was the weekend they would have someone come check it out Monday.(Our departure date) We asked to be moved and were told there were no one bedroom rentals available. We then asked to be refunded and we would just leave because we just couldn’t stay without phone signal to our children and families in case of an emergency. We were offered about 10% of our total cost after dealing with this issue the one day we had been there and were told we were lucky to be offered that. We declined the small offer and packed up and went home. It was a very bad experience and I will never rent from Blue Swell again. Also the bed is super firm, the pillows are garbage, and be ready to wake up at 7am when the sun comes up.

Adam, We at Blue Swell appreciate your feedback, we strive to accommodate our guests in every way possible. In your case We offered a $75 refund to help with no tv, wifi, or cell service. We also called the owner and maintenance. The management team stated that the owner is trying to get with the cell service provider and wifi provider but that nothing can be done over the weekend. You declined our offer and decide to leave early.

Perfect location but…
This place was in an incredible location. Could not have been happier w/ the beach access and proximity to great food. We were really happy with our trip. That said, the bed was incredibly hard. Not firm-hard. Pillows were terrible. Was not a comfortable sleep for my pregnant wife or myself. The sunshades in the room provide little to know sunshade so hopefully you’re an early riser like us! We would stay here again, if some small changes were made.

Quick Trip
This was a lovely property. Only complaint is that the third person in our group who sometimes has trouble sleeping could not sleep on the pull out sofa. And the couch is too short to sleep on. Otherwise, it was lovely.

We were absolutely thrilled with this little cottage. Clean and surprisingly roomy. The one draw back was spotty internet service. Depending on the purpose of your trip, that might be a very good thing. Take a deep breath and enjoy this amazing property.

Great little guest house
We enjoyed our stay in the cute little guest house behind the main house. It was efficient but comfortable. The good: Cute gated neighborhood Updated home Washer/dryer in unit About a 20 min walk from beach access and cute ice cream shop. Nice and cool, even with the AC set at 75. Tv with roku so you can sign in with your own accounts. The not as good/worth noting: Shower had mold and mildew, mostly on the inside under the door on tile. It seemed like someone just didn't carefully clean the shower, but still it felt a little icky. The bar top table was super wobbly, to the point where we felt like we were going to knock the table over just trying to sit and eat. A countertop height table with stools would work better and then you could also use the stools as side tables for the couch when you're on the couch. No dishwasher. This was fine for us but worth noting if it's a deal breaker for others. All in all a good little place to stay

Nice but need golf cart- impossible parking.
The property management company was on top of it and good with communication. My main concern was the lack of willingness from the Owner to allow us a golf cart. We were willing to pay for it but they wouldn't allow it. It's very crowded now on 30A and not conducive to driving and if you have a small child, too tiring to bike everywhere. We could not stay here again for the simple fact that they will not allow golf carts.

Katie, the community of this property are the ones who do not allow rental golf carts into the community. If rental golf carts are present there are daily fees that occur. This is why we would not allow the golf cart.

Great little space
Perfect small cottage for 2! Loved the location. Clean and comfortable. Only issue was the later check in time of 4:00...later than any other rental I’ve booked, and no early check in unless you pay $75. Would recommend a larger coffee pot, rather than the tiny one they have currently.

Great spot on 30A
Me and my wife had a great time! Awesome location near Blue Mountain and Grayton beaches. Quick access to the trail was great to as we were able to walk to breakfast, the beach, etc. Would definitely come back!

It all depends how long you are staying.
This is a darling, immaculately clean and very well maintained cottage . It is perfect if you are only staying 1-2 days because it is so sparsely equipped with “survival tools”. I stayed 8 days without a stove, oven, dishes, silverware, pots and pans, ....not even a glass dish to use in the microwave.. the owner did not leave a code for the Internet, he did not leave a code to get into the security gate, he did not leave a single hangar, nor did I receive access to the pool ( there were no pool bracelets as promised). The first challenge was trying to get into the cottage. One must use an old rickety lock box that took over 30 minutes to open......I tried so many times “ the lockbox finally gave up and released my key”.! If the owner would make the cottage more usable...it would be perfect

Jeanne, we do inform our guests before booking this unit that it does not come with a full kitchen. However, we will inspect the unit for more silverware and bowls. Also, all codes that are required for this property are in the arrival packet that is given to you a week before your arrival. Most of our rentals are key-less entry. This unit however does have a lockbox that holds the key to enter the property.

Beautiful carriage house near the beach
My husband and I came to here to celebrate our 2nd year wedding anniversary and we were very pleased with the house. It was the perfect size for the two of us. Check in was super easy and contactless which was a plus given the current COVID-19 situation. Despite that our host kept in contact with us via text to make sure our stay was going well which was much appreciated! The house itself was very clean and located in a beautiful quiet gated community only a ten minute walk to the beach! Perfect location; ) The bed was super comfy, the bathroom had a beautiful glass walk in shower and the kitchen a fridge, microwave and toaster oven. Everything we needed. Plus there was even a shower out back to spray sand off your feet from the beach! The beach itself was gorgeous with water so clear it looked like a swimming pool instead of the ocean! We also spotted 5-6 stingrays during our stay and crabs on the beach. So neat! We’ll be coming back!
