When you head back from the beach, you will want to come home to Day is Done! This 3BR/3.5BA, NEW rental home is in the Cypress Dunes community, just off Hwy 30A. Day is Done has a bright, breezy feel with gorgeous hardwood flooring and beautiful french doors welcoming you to the spacious porch and balcony. The main living area is on the second floor and has high vaulted ceilings in an open floor concept and a gas fireplace. Create a home cooked meal in the professional-grade kitchen with lavish quartz countertops. With a king bed in the Master Suite, a king bed in the 1st guest room, and a queen bed w/ twin trundle in the 2nd guest room, this lovely beach home sleeps 7 guests comfortably- all bedrooms have en suite baths. Enjoy the sparkling community pool, get some fun exercise at the tennis courts, or take a leisurely stroll through the nature trails.  Make Day is Done your next place to relax and unwind! 

Along the west of 30A, just east of Miramar Beach, you’ll find the luxury gated community that is Cypress Dunes. Here begins the 18 mile bike path that stretches all the way to Rosemary Beach. You will love neighborhood amenities here that include gulf views from the infinity edged swimming pool (seasonally heated for spring and fall school breaks and the holidays), outdoor fireplace, large hot tub, fitness center, and a second-level sundeck overlooking the Gulf and Coastal Dunes Lake. Stroll along the wooden boardwalk and nature trails, have a picnic on the expansive recreational lawn area or get your game on at the tennis courts. 30A is a fantastic destination, the beaches are some of the world’s best with sugar white sand and emerald green waters. You will find plenty of beach accesses along a 17 mile stretch of Santa Rosa Beach. It boasts unique shopping, fantastic cuisine and the incredible architecture that makes 30A famous. There are activities for everyone; kayak rentals, bike rentals, paragliding, fishing, golfing, hiking, swimming, tennis -- you'll find it all right here. 


The snorkelers in your group will love the new artificial reef called Seahorse Reef, deployed in 2017. Located just 715 feet out from the Topsail Hill Preserve State Park access, it is becoming a haven for sea life. Each of the 4 snorkeling reefs comprises 40 acres of permitted sea bottom. The Seahorse Reef is at a depth of 13-18 feet. We strongly recommend that snorkelers use a kayak, paddleboard, or other flotation device when visiting the snorkel reefs. Sea conditions can and do change quickly and often. Enjoy!

Property was beautiful although when I booked, I thought I was booking a property with one room with bunk beds. this property did not have this so all the children could not stay together. One bathtub was not clean but overall the property was very clean. The biggest problem we had was setting up the televisions which we never got right. Pages of instruction to do so and Most people do not have that kind of AV experience or want to spending a vacation trying to figure out a system. If system stays someone needs to make sure it is set up properly for guests to just turn on and select program. Additionally, it would be great to have a Keurig Coffee maker as people rise at different times and there was a lot of wasting of burnt coffee. Other than these couple of things, I would recommend this property. Beautiful home, kitchen has everything to cook gourmet meals if so inclined and decorated for the beach ambiance. Two Master bedrooms definitely a plus and wish the third bedroom had the bunks for our three kids. Well located and could enjoy many beaches.

Family Vacation with Adult Kids

Beautiful house, well-kept and clean. Lots of beach chairs, beach toys, beach cruiser bikes, games, puzzles, and books for kids & adults. Large space on main floor and a beautiful, well-appointed kitchen. Loved the three porches and porch swing. Beautiful community with a great pool and gym. Only thing, and it’s not really a criticism, is plan to stop at the nearby Walmart. We’ve rented numerous homes over the years and most had things left from other renters like salt and pepper, coffee filters and sometimes laundry detergent, this house does not have anything except 1 extra roll of paper towel and 1 extra roll of toilet paper per bathroom. They are extra light bulbs, which came in handy for one lamp but no extra AA batteries for the TV remotes, only one of them worked! We stayed 7 nights and brought basics like shampoo, conditioner, and spices L but I didn’t think about coffee filters. I improvised with a paper towel our first morning until I went to Walmart again the next day for a special trip. There’s one small tube of shampoo, conditioner, and a small bar of soap in each bathroom. Again, not deal breakers but helpful to know. This is a nice, private neighborhood and it’s our second time staying in a rental here. Great location and a nice bike ride, or walk if you like walking, to the beach. Three Brothers BBQ and Kith + Kin Coffee are within an easy bike ride away and both are good. Thanks for a great stay.

Another great year at Cypress Dunes

This is our 9th year going to the same location. WE have family who lives here on Cypress Dunes and we love coming here in the summer and spend quality time with them at a very peaceful place, our kids love it here as well. This is the third different house we have rented in all of our years coming to SRB and as all of them, we were not disappointed. House is beautiful, communication was great, check in and check out was easy and without complications. Complex is consistent with rules and we love that they care about their place and keep some strict rules that makes the place better. We love it here and we wish we could stay two weeks, maybe in the future. Our kids love it here and they look forward every year to come back and spend time on the pool, playing tennis, playing soccer at the grassy area, going to the beach, working out, biking or just visiting Sea Side. Beautiful place and beautiful house...We will come back for sure, God willing! The Fajardo's family!

Beautiful Home!

We really enjoyed the home and it was a perfect set up for us. Our daughter was married at the clubhouse and our location within the neighborhood was ideal. There are a couple maintenance issues that should be addressed, but they did not effect our stay. A very lovely home!

Great location. We enjoyed proximity to topsail park, 30A and Destin. Good set up that each bedroom has its own bathroom. The stay could have been better if host provided a few necessities other than just starters for toilet paper, dish soap/dishwasher soap, trash bags especially since we were staying for 6 days. We enjoyed using the chairs, umbrellas and beach toys for our visit to the beach. Also management checked on the property several times during our stay which was unusual.

Great Location

We had a wonderful stay and great vacation. This is the perfect location. Just right off the hustle and bustle of Destin and at the start of 30A. The house was the perfect amount of rooms for what we needed. Loved the balcony with the swing bed. We did miss having the pool floats that were shown in the picture so be sure to bring your own. The pool was fabulous as well as the hot tub. We wish there was direct access to the beach but we ended up at the beautiful Top Sail State Park. That is one you just can't miss. The most gorgeous beach. We also loved getting to see the family of deer walk the neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again. This is a beautiful home, thanks for sharing it.

Beautifully decorated home

We had a great stay here! We have stayed at a number of homes in Cypress Dunes now, as it is one of our favorite neighborhoods, and this was one of our favorite homes. It is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We spent a lot of time on the outside back deck. It has a dining table on it and, our favorite, a bed swing. The pool and clubhouse are very close as well. Just a note, there was nothing in the kitchen as far as salt, pepper, etc and was only one roll of toilet paper in each bathroom so be prepared to bring those items. We would definitely recommend staying in this house!

Tranquil Paradise

This beautiful home was so welcoming and peaceful. Has all of the amenities you will need to prepare delicious meals (except dish towels) and is close in proximity to many restaurants if you prefer eating out. It’s a great area that isn’t congested like Seaside. It does require a short drive to public beaches. Recommend going to the Topsail State Park next door for the most beautiful beaches. Be aware the queen size room downstairs does not have a stand up shower. Not a big deal to us as they do have a spray head option in the tub. We would rent this home again. The porches are lovely and have very comfortable seating. Also has a very nice gas grill.

I highly recommend this property. The location is excellent, very close to the beach and next to a beautiful state park. The neighborhood is very nice and the tennis courts are in great shape. The house is new with an excellent layout and perfectly equipped. The property was also very clean. Perfect spot, I will come back to this place again!!

Excellent Stay!

We loved staying at this gorgeous house. It was so beautifully decorated and comfortable. More than enough room for our family of five! The neighborhood was safe and quite and the pool was fabulous! We would highly recommend it. The only thing we had an issue with was the lack of simple things that we needed for the kitchen. Only one wash cloth and one towel for dishes. No sponge or cleaning spray. And no garbage bags besides the ones in the garage cans. When I texted them they did bring over some dish towels and garbage bags, so that was nice. It it was just a pain to have to run to the store for a sponge and cleaning supplies while on vacation. Other than that, perfection!

Beautiful home but a few minor upgrades needed

Loved this house! Furnishings, floor plan, and fixtures are all great. Just a few small improvements on the amenities would be great:1) More kitchen towels; 2) a sponge pot scrubber; 3) replace peeling nonstick pots and pans; 4) a few bigger bath towels; 5) a memory foam pad for the master suite bed (it’s too hard!); 6) a fresh box of Kleenex in each bathroom; 7) thoroughly clean the grill; 8) make sure all lamps have light bulbs that work; 9) better placemats; and 10) better can opener.

We were guests here the week of 06/13/20. Given the COVID-19 environment, this was a relatively last-minute booking for us. Have to say, the value of this property is high if this level of accommodations is what you're after. For the price, we received quality accommodations and plenty of room for our party of 7. Loved the main porch, and they even through in cooler June weather for us. We loved sitting on the porch in the evenings! Everyone was comfortable with the rooms and bathrooms, and the kitchen offerings were top notch. Loved the value we received!

Absolute heaven!

Our family just returned from a10 day stay at "Day is Done". We really enjoyed ourselves, despite the Coronavirus situation. This home feels so loved by its owners and we really appreciated their attention to detail in the furnishings and equipment in the home. Everything was top notch in quality, right down to the can opener, blender and K cup coffee maker, which is the best I have ever used!!! Pots and pans were high quality, as was the cutlery and dishware. These things are important to me, as we like to cook while on vacation. There were even Yeti cups which were personalized with the name of the home on them...pretty cool. Everyone found the beds to be extremely comfy and I slept really well each night the serene master bedroom. The garage was so convenient, and had everything imaginable that you could want for the beach. My husband loved being able to unpack/pack everything inside the garage. The artwork throughout the home is so adorable and really makes you feel comfortable. These owners have amazing taste! We also adored the porch swing and spent a lot of time just enjoying our glass of wine while watching deer and listening to the birds...heaven. We are big music fans, and this home has in wall speakers which was absolutely fantastic. We just connected to it with our phone and were able to listen to our music everywhere in the house, even outside. We are clean freaks, and cleaned the house everyday, just as we would at home. The owners have a Dyson vacuum as well as a couple of other vacuums there, which was delightful for us...just like being at home. Washer and dryer were great and well situated on the main level where most of the laundry was generated. Adored the counter tops in the kitchen which were so easy to keep clean. Amazing gas cooktop and awesome garburator...which is always something we enjoy as we don't have one at home. My only critique was that our wristbands for access to the pool were not in the home upon arrival. My husband connected with the manager of the club house, and we had to obtain them on our own. No real biggie, but stressed us out a bit as the kids were really hot to get to the pool, and this caused a little delay as wrist bands must be worn (although no one there was wearing theirs, but we are rule followers). It was sad that we only had a couple of days to use the pool, before it was shuttered due to the virus, then the beach was closed. Bummer, but we still had fun!

Just a minor issue

VRBO made it extremely easy. My issue is with the actual property management. It is almost like they do not really want rental properties on site. They are overly strict and go out of their way to make it known. As I was unloading my vehicle into the garage she stopped by to tell me to close the garage. They would also run out to the pool if they saw a person with a drink near it. She stopped me many times to make sure I was wearing a pool bracelet, even though the pool and gym (in the same area) are protected by separate gates , with codes. It got quite annoying. It’s not as family friendly as other places I’ve stayed in the same town. I will not stay there again.

Wonderful property!

We have been to this development many times. This was our first stay in this home and it's beautiful. Very relaxing - lots of places to hang out with the family, indoors and out. Well-appointed kitchen and warmly relaxing furnishings and decor. Fantastic community pool. We love the tennis courts. We'll be back (again!).
