「The Occidental Lodge is a very charming, old-school lodge that is well-maintained and absolutely spotless. My favorite part was that there were no smells at all in the room, which I loved!The lodge is located in a tiny, quiet town that I would describe as a micro-country town. If you are planning a weekday stay, just keep in mind that the only things open are a little market and a breakfast café that closes at 3:00 PM. 「Our room was very nice, clean, and roomy. The surrounding area was well kept, and surrounded by lush and beautiful landscaping. There were plenty of places to walk our dogs, and overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We anticipate many returns. A great big thank you to all the staff. My only suggestion is to add a microwave to the rooms.」

「The hotel was charming and had a boutique, bed-and-breakfast feel. They offered a complimentary breakfast, which was delightful and delicious. The staff were friendly and always checked to see if our room needed refreshing. The room was cozy and comfortable, although the carpet could have been cleaner, and the shower could use some improvement. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely return.」

「We stayed before and knew what to expect and it didn't disappoint. We live near the coast with fog in the summer and we went to get some sunshine and to enjoy the amenities. We also love the saloon and the French bakery nearby.」

I called and asked for a late checkout, they gave me 30 extra mins, housekeeping still knocked on the door and front desk called, while I was still in my extra 30 mins. But the property was great」
