We just needed a place to sleep at night that was convenient to a friend’s planned activities for a weekend. This was fine. We used glasses, ice and pan to boil water for tea. Did not need any of the other amenities.

A good place at a good price

You are not getting luxury, but you are getting a cozy place near everything in Sarasota. It was exactly what I wanted for a week of house hunting all around Sarasota and Venice. There are two spacious bedrooms. We only needed one, but it was nice to use the other just to keep our clothes well organized. I would recommend Tracey's cottage for a short stay of a week or so.

Nice Place overall.

Great place to stay. I messed up my days that we booked and she refunded r a day. She didn’t have to. It was really appreciated. We got to check in early, which was great. House was clean and well equipped. I would stay there again

Wanted a week in nice weather

We had one week to enjoy Sarasota. This unit needs a serious cleaning. We do not think it was cleaned before we checked in. There was white dog hair everywhere, and hair in the bathtub. There were so many ants in the kitchen we could not use the countertops. The house and garage smells like dog pee. The biggest disappointment was there were no bikes in the garage, even though the picture on the rental site showed bikes. Because of that, we did not bring our bikes with us. Those pictures need to be updated. The site also does not say that the washer and dryer are shared with a back rental unit. We thought we had the whole house. Very disappointed!

Best location in Sarasota

Cozy cottage with everything you will need. I stayed 2 weeks. Close to hospital, downtown, grocery store, everything. Dog friendly, I brought my bulldog. Comfortable beds. Easy communication with owner.

Sarasota stay

The place had very comfortable seating and beds and all the necessary equipment needed for our 9 night stay. The host was very accommodating and helpful to us. It is just a few miles from the airport and from family that we were visiting. It was quiet and private.

Not what we expected

The dishes and glasses were dirty. The dish sponge was nasty and had to be replaced by us. The counters and microwave was full of crumbs. The table cloth was filthy with crumbs. The furniture was dirty and blanket on the couch smelly. The bed was uncomfortable with a hole to sink in. There was a pill, bolt and nasty dust in the dresser drawers. The bathroom had a ceiling that looked like it would fall down- it had cracked. The bathroom sink had a slow drain and we had to jiggle the toilet handle. The clothes iron had mold in the steamer and didn't heat up.

Great location. Minor upkeep issues otherwise nice rental.

The bedding wasn’t super clean, the paint was peeling in the bathroom, and the bathroom sink wouldn’t drain. Otherwise a nice stay.

Nice place to get away

The house was quite comfortable - it felt like we were staying at a friend's house - and the location was good. The park is very close by but a walk to the bay would be a bit of a hike. The WIFI went out the second day we were there and stayed out for the rest of the trip, despite Tracey's best effort to get it fixed. Overall it was a nice stay.

Wonderful cottage close to the beach

This cottage was a great find! It was clean, in a nice quiet neighborhood and close to the beaches. We originally planned our trip to Florida to visit and stay with family. When plans changed at the last minute we had to pivot and found ourselves looking for a last minute rental. This cottage saved the day! It was reasonably priced, had the amenities that we needed and was a 10 minute drive from beautiful Siesta Key beach. We fly in and rented a car so the best part for us we’re the beach chairs, cooler and umbrella we were able to use! These amenities made our days at the beach amazing! Their were plenty of beach towels too! The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of drawer space to unpack. We really enjoyed our time here and I highly recommend it for others.

Prime location

The house was clean and convienant to everything. Only drawback was someone was renting the back of the house so we had no access to the backyard and had to keep the music very low with tenants on other side of the wall. No privacy in front yard.

We came to visit my elderly mother. This was the perfect location between my mom and brother. Convenient to everything we needed including letting our 2 Yorkiepoos stay.. we will stay again on our next visit.

Quiet neighborhood and quality listing

Tracey communicated well the property details and responded to my inquiries. Truly, this Is the easiest check-in and departure I’ve experienced with vacation rentals. Though it’s easy to access main roads, this older home is located on a quiet street. We heard a few minimal noises from the ‘backyard’ tenants and their dogs but nothing that distracted from our stay. The decor, dishes and supplies are typical travel eclectic. The lush towels and comfortable beds were perfect for resting and relaxing. As others have mentioned, the larger bedroom window could use some drapes to reduce light. I brought along my sleep mask which was helpful. I appreciate that some cupboard space was empty so we could store food items and preferred dishes to those spots. Personal touches like obviously new tissue boxes were appreciated. Beach items were available. We enjoyed walking/jogging the neighborhood sidewalks and Arlington Park. All goods and services are nearby, including the hospital. It was a great stay. Thanks, Tracey.

A nice place to come home to.

We rented this place for 8 nights, as it is near our children and we wanted to explore real estate listings in Sarasota. The place was very clean, well kept, and had everything we needed. We highly recommend it.

Central location

This house is a short bike ride or drive to downtown Sarasota and is also convenient to Lido Beach and Siesta Key. Nearby Arlington Park has a beautiful pool and tennis courts, plus a walking trail. The kitchen was well stocked and the king bed was very comfortable. The attached garage is a great place to store bikes, and has a washer and dryer, as well as beach chairs. We would stay here again when in the Sarasota area.
