"De Gite is super mooi en we hebben van Doué la Fonteine genoten veel te beleven en prachtige omgeving we komen zeker terug, maar de Gite was niet echt geschikt voor mensen van +- 75 met de draaitrap en wat warm om boven te slapen en geen nachtlampje geen diepvriesvak in de frigo geen Parasol om aan de tafel te zitten om eten, en geen verluchting in de kamer, maar de ligging is perfect kort bij het centrum en alle winkels, en lekkere streekproducten en super wijnen, we houden van de streek "

"Wherever we stay, the quality of the welcome and of the service we receive is the single most important thing. And here it was wonderful. From checking in to checking out staff couldn’t do enough - friendly, helpful, informative. The hotel itself is a beautiful building based around a lovely garden where we at each morning. We arrived with a big dog who was clearly as welcome as us (one of the managers brings his dog to work). The room was clean and spacious, the bed comfortable and reasonably large and - importantly given the weather and unusually for so many hotels - the air conditioning was first rate. The pool is small but more than enough to cool off before sitting in the shade with a beer. The hotel is on the outskirts of Saumur, but only 5 minutes walk to the centre. Saumur itself is lovely - small enough to be accessible, large enough to feel lively. Lots of history in the town and nearby (Angers, Chinon, Blois). All in all we had a wonderful stay. "

"The reception was outstanding. We arrived early and were made to feel most welcome. The room is large, modern and lovely. Everything is first class, bedding, towels , etc. Breakfast was great and plenty of options. The hotel is a pleasant short walk from the old town centre. Parking is very limited but not an issue. There always seems to be free street parking right outside the hotel. A lovely stay all round."

"Everything was wonderful. I stayed there 5 days and tried everything, le petit déjeuner delicious, le dîner incredible ! Only thing I didn’t know is that I had to pay extra to enjoy the jacuzzi (why isn’t it included ?). I needed it to warm up bc coming from Miami, the drop in temperature was brutal :). But it’s ok I still loved it ! Thank you !"
