Loved staying in the Pod House!

We had such a great time in the Pod House. It was the rainy season and yet we got to go snorkeling, and cruising with Jen and Bruce to a sand bar for even more snorkeling. We felt like the Pod House, which is SO comfortable (including the bed, which is important to me) was our home by the end of our two-week stay. Great views, great location, on-site massages by Viri. We'll cherish our memories!

Bula!

Bruce and Jen are world class hosts that made our trip to Fiji unforgettable. They helped us feel welcome and we were friends by the time we left. Their property is wonderful and private. Joseva is a wonderful Fijian who helps at the property and became a great friend. He showed us true Fijian hospitality and culture. They all helped us with activities all around the island and facilitated everything we hoped to do. I give them my highest recommendation. Bula Vinaka!

Amazing stay

My husband and I had a fantastic time at the post house. It was exactly what we were looking for to celebrate our anniversary. The house plus the view were so wonderful we had to force ourselves to have dinner out in the town. Jen who managed the property was always willing to help whether it be with scheduling tours or picking a place for dinner when we finally did go out. Would absolutely come back.

Great location, with incredible views and awesome snorkeling steps away. Not too far from town either. The space is large and the pool was nice for a cool down. Onsite manager/staff are super friendly and helpful!

POD House Honeymoon

Our honeymoon was amazing staying at the Pod House. It was perfectly private and safe. The pool kept us cool along with being able to walk across the street to enjoy the ocean for snorkeling or just hanging in the water. We shopped at the farmers market, meat and bread stores to make delicious meals at the Pod House. Jen and staff were friendly and helpful with advice on where to go. Jen was kind enough to pick us up from the airport. Highly recommend staying here!

Perfect place for two snorkeling enthusiasts who like to cook.

We loved being able to walk right out the door and across the road and straight out to some of the best snorkeling on the island. Easy access to the shops and produce market in Savusavu for groceries and supplies. Great stay!

Romantic paradise

Spent 8 nights at the Pod House, we simply loved the privacy and accommodations. Great indoor and outdoor spaces, spectacular views, including the night skies while having a late pool dip. Close to town and nearby snorkeling and scuba diving. We will be comong back.

Amazing Find

This place is spectacular and way better than we imagined in every way. It truly is paradise. Bruce and Tuks were so helpful and friendly. The views, plunge pool and finishes on the house were awesome. The only wish we have is a few more basics in the kitchen like oil and spices, but that’s not a make or break. This was our first stop in Fiji and Bruce said this would be our highlight. He was absolutely right. We’d love to go back!

Heaven on earth

Paradise. Where to start. View is to die for, quite, private, everything you need to escape the craziness of the world right there for you. Good Snorkeling and kayaking just 50 feet from the property. I did a discovery scuba dive which was just amazing (Korosun Dive is highly recommended). Jolene was a great host and very helpful in showing us around etc. I promise, you'll never want to leave this little paradise on earth.

Survived the Category 5 Cyclone(Hurricane)Winston...No better place in Savusavu.

What can we say.....from the beautiful Pod house with all its amenities to it's incredible structure that gave us the greatest stay and a sense of security when the Cyclone did a u-turn over Tonga and came back on the islands quickly. An extra thanks to Brad who helped us prepared and showed great concern for our safety.....it was great to see him after the storm in town and his friends who gave us coffee and a phone to call anyone we needed. The people of Fiji are amazing, resilient and always smiling. The day after the storm they had already cleared over 3 miles of road of debris trees and power lines. The town was getting back in order and the airport was being cleaned up to help the tourist leave if they needed to. Of all our travels this was both the most relaxing and the most exhilarating to say the least. Brad and Therese were great and don't ever hesitate to stay in this great house and the great town of Savusavu.

The Pod House was beautiful!

We recently got home from our 7 night stay in Savusavu at the Pod House. We had such an amazing trip and have Jolene and her staff to thank. The house was very private, clean and comfortable. There were kayaks and snorkle gear for us to use, but we ended up buying our own snorkels while there. The area is very quiet with little to no noise, even the water was very calm due to being in the bay. The sunsets were unbelievable! The house came with basic supplies so we had to purchase things like condiments and toilet paper which we expected. Even though there is a TV, with a DVD player, some of the DVDs didn't work and there is no TV service. To be warned, there are steep stairs to climb to get to the Pod House, but they were helpful by bringing up heavy items, like our luggage. Taxis are plentiful, with a one-way trip costing about 8-10 FJD and takes about 10 mins to town. While in town, everyone was friendly and there were many restaurants to try. Jolene and some of the taxi drivers were knowledgeable of the restaurants and gave us ideas of places to go. One night we went to the Jean-Michel Cousteau Resort for dinner and unexpectedly got a Fijian show while there. We had such a great time during our stay and highly recommend staying here!

In one word stunning: the house, the location, the views. You don't want to leave

We stayed in the pod house for 8 nights and had a fantastic time The house has it all Breakfast on the balcony with awesome views across the bay, take your pick of two daybeds to have another snooze or read a good book, sit in a comfy chair by the pool, jump in to cool off, all in absolute privacy. Tom is always there behind the scenes to give a helping hand or advise if needed. We hired a car in town for two days and got to see some beautiful scenery and meeting the local people is a experience we'll never forget There are very few signs so getting "lost" is quite easy but people are very helpful and we always felt safe. Keep in mind that Savusavu is not (yet) a touristy place, which we liked, and a lot is done the Fiji way: the "tourist office" in town was closed on Saturday and thought that we could make our own way to the rainforest reserve without them calling ahead only to find the place locked up and it didn't look frequently used. Plenty of shops and restaurants in town at very reasonable prices, shopping where the locals go, like the market, is a great experience. Keep in mind that this island has no real white beaches that come to mind thinking of Fiji islands, for great snorkeling or diving you will have to book a tour. For us the pod house was the perfect place to stay The booking with Bruce was fantastic, great communication and everything was as promised and highly recommend staying here

Pure Bliss - exceeded our expectations!!!

We have just returned from an 8 night stay at the Pod House. On arrival. Brad the Owner personally picked us up in his Land Rover and drove us to the Pod House. I was blown away by how awesome the property was. It exceeded what we expected & saw on the web! It looked like this was a home right out of a Home Decor magazine. Very well decorated, giving you the Fijian feeling. The King size bed was very comfortable with high grade linens. Spacious shower with separate toilet and double sinks were a plus. Had Pure Fiji toiletries to shower for a few days. Even a washing machine. The kitchen was as well stocked as my kitchen at home. As my husband & I love to cook, t this was very important to us. We bought our Fresh Fish / Lobster, Fruits & Vegetable at the Local Market which is a few miles down the road. We even had a barbecue to use. We did take a few siestas on the Daybed by the pool... was very private. As it was winter there, the pool was too cold for us Floridians to use, but was lovely to look at. We could not get enough of the spectacular views in front of the home. You could see miles and miles of the bay with an extinct volcano in the background. Every night there were spectacular sunsets to watch as you sip on a glass of wine from the veranda. Easy walk to Cousteau Resort where you can dine and take Dive trips if you like. There also a famous snorkeling Coral Bed called Split Rock that you can walk to. Taxis are abundant and cheap to use. We did rent a car to explore more of the Island. I recommend this only if you are use to driving on the left side of the road. As my husband was there for business, he needed to have High Speed Internet. The complimentary WIFI was great to have & worked well. The Fijian people ARE the happiest people in the world! Loved how they say "Bula" with a smile everytime! I highly recommend that you do not stay on the main Island - go to Vanua Levu to experience true Fiji! A big "Vinaka" - THANK YOU to Brad & Therese for offering us such spectacular accomodations for our stay in Fiji!! Would love to return one day....

Fiji at it's best

The Pod House was a wonderful honeymoon experience for my wife and I. The house itself was was incredibly clean and secluded. The view of SavuSavu Bay couldn't be beat! After reading positive review after review I shouldn't have been surprised but when we got there it was somehow better than I ever could have expected. Instead of going to some touristy resort where you are hand fed Fijian culture, stay at the Pod House and experience the wonderful town of Savusavu, the amazing people that live there, and the natural glory that was around every corner. This review wouldn't be complete without the mention of Jolene who helps run the two properties. She became perhaps the highlight of our honeymoon, spending time with her and learning about Fiji was a memory I will cherish for many years to come.

Ideal location and vibe

We had an amazing time at the Pod House. Everything was just perfect from the amazing views to the pool, outdoor shower, beautifully tiled indoor shower, kitchen, and living room. We walked to the Cousteau resort daily for scuba diving. There is also a spectacular snorkeling spot just meters up the road! It was a short and inexpensive taxi ride to town for dinner. Jolene was on-site daily and was extremely helpful and accommodating. It’s rare to find a rental with someone available all day to help answer questions, call taxis, etc. Bruce and Jen are awesome and we had a great time on their catamaran one afternoon. We would 100% stay here again! We absolutely LOVED the Pod House!!!

Amazing Experience!

Our stay at the Pod House was easily the best part of our 2 week visit to Fiji. Bruce and Jen were very accommodating and were excellent hosts. The property manager, Jolene, was absolutely wonderful and coordinated our entire itinerary during our stay. She not only provided the best recommendations for food (best food in Fiji we've had across every meal) but excursions as well; she would arrange and organize all the logistics so that everything went seamlessly, leaving nothing else for you to do but to enjoy what Savusavu had to offer. The property's taxi driver, Bablu, was also amazing. He was always very dependable and went out of his way to arrange any additional activities we wanted to do. Everyone went above and beyond to ensure that our experience was nothing short of exceptional. We would absolutely recommend staying at the Pod House to anyone planning to visit Savusavu, especially since we definitely will be planning to in the future!

Perfect Island Home

I can’t even begin to say enough good things about the Pod House. Jolene was so wonderful leading up to our stay and through out. The owners were there if we needed anything, and both had wonderful suggestions about things to do. This is the perfect romantic retreat, located about 6.5 km from town, but close to a pristine beach with amazing snorkeling. When you needed a quick cool off, the pool was there to provide. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to cook, including a wonderful BBQ. I can’t begin to say enough good things. If you are thinking about staying in Savusavu, stay here. Thank you so very much, and we absolutely plan to come again!!!
