“The large well equipped room and modern bathroom were very good . The location of the hotel is very central and close to a free car park . The quality of the breakfast was disappointing compared to every other hotel we have used this year. Regular tea was in a pot on a hot plate next to the coffee and therefore stewed . This was a first ! The woman running the breakfast on our first day was excellent trying to keep a fully booked room happy single-handedly with a smile and warm manner .”

“The room was excellent although not cleaned during our stay. The breakfast was excellent. The bar was good. BUT the evening meal was chaotic. Some of the menu was unavailable. I am not sure what were the problems but there didn’t seem to be the flexibility to provide an available menu for the residents.”

“Location is beautiful, food was very good both breakfast and dinner. Weird spacing in the bathroom...could barely maneuver on the toilet as the shower is so close. The floors are old and creaky as was the bed springs mattress...very bouncy...boing boing boing. Core staff is from Sri Lanka and very much wanting to serve and please. But overall we had a lovely quiet stay. ”

“Wonderful hosts whom made us a late request dinner. Rooms were clean and neat and everything was well decorated and functioning. A very nice breakfast as well. A minute to the ferry to Isle of Mull giving plenty of time for a day exploring Duart castle and Tobermorey. Highly recommend!”

“The hotel is a few minutes walk from Mallaig train station, and the ferry terminal. There are two supermarkets and a few restaurants around the village so that one can easily get refreshments. I was amazed that the hotel is in a delicate traditional wooden decor, and has a relaxing garden terrace. I also enjoyed the window view a lot! The room was clean and it’s reception was excellent. I strongly recommend anyone who plan to visit any Hebrides islands, give the hotel a chance,.”
