「Perfect getaway with a little sauna for a relax, sea is at the end of the road, tidy and plenty of space. Love the little touches around the place, everything was thought off, we will definitely be back!」

「The property was wxactly as pictured and desceibed, the hoat was friendly and helpful and tyhe aureoubding area was perfect for walking pur dog, who also enjoyed his stay. The little cafe next door was a great bonus for breakfast and you're only a minutes walk from the bus stop on the main road with great transport links into Newcastle」

「The property was large and was a good base to use being about 20 minutes from a beach and about 10 minutes walk from a park with swings etc for the grandchildren. It was about 5 minutes drive from an Aldi and Lidl. 」

「Our stay over Christmas in the beautiful Kestral cottage was superb. Jean and Amy made us feel very welcome and went 'above & beyond' to make our stay perfect. The cottage has all the amenities you could ask for and was spotlessly clean. We would recommend this cottage to anyone who wants to spend a quiet break in County Durham. Say hi to the llamas!」

「We wanted to stay in the area as my partner has family routes there , we especially wanted to walk along Seaham beach . The location of the tower was perfect, beautiful countryside and such a unique place to stay.」

「Well this booking was made on the whole purpose of having a relaxing weekend after running 350km for charity over the past few months. So we booked here for the hot tub and the relevant ease of running a Park Run on the Saturday. After running this Park Run we returned back to the accommodation for our day of in and out of the hot tub. Although this turned out to be turned off so we had an ice bath, not advertised on the website. We then were told that we would get a nights refund for this...

「One of a series of barns on the farm, very comfortable, very relaxing, dog friendly and great for exploring the Durham/Gateshead countryside. 」

「Had a lovely time staying here for a few days. We had a couple of places we had on our bucket list and this was a good base. Didn’t get a chance to see the arch near by by as it was raining. Only advise would be to have a sign where the holiday homes are as we used the postcode and nav took us to road down the road. Thank you for loaning us your pass for the Beamish Living Museum, had a lovely day even though we got a little wet. 」

「Lovely quiet location with excellent walking from the door in the Derwent river valley. Very welcoming and helpful host. Dog friendly with lovely garden.」

「We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had a nice walk to Beamish Museum from the property and Hilary the host was more than helpful and allowed us earlier access. We definitely would visit again」

「Property was brilliant area excellent as I know it well being from Walker originally.Could not fault the cottage apart from the obviously inflated price for Sam Fender concert. As a Geordie this didn't go down too well. A must if you are a visitor to the area as it is set in an idyllic and central area for almost everything worth visiting in Newcastle area and beyond.」

「The cottage lovely and is just what you need as a home from home. It is very clean and warm. My family enjoyed our time here. The kitchen is well stocked with cutlery and crockery and the dining room especially has beautiful lighting. At the moment the area outside the cottage is anything but restful with major renovations well underway to the railway. The worst hotel stay in the entire trip

"Extremely poor service and stay. We were given a smaller room than we had asked for (images do not match the actual state of the room), and the air conditioner is broken; we were provided with fans but we do not have proper ventilation in our room, causing the room to be very hot and stuffy, and after taking a shower the room becomes very damp. Television does not work, and the fans aren't very good. There are also insect stains on the bedding. Service is misleading, we were told that our check out was at noon however we were urged to leave as soon as 11am came by, asking to charge us for overstaying in the hotel. Our belongings were held at the lobby as well because of this, and the staff were reluctant to return our belongings. Extremely disappointed at the service and conditions of the hotel, will not recommend it to anyone."
