Golden Sands Motor Inn Forster

8/10 Good

"We love the location of this motel. Close to the beach and the shops and restaurants. The room is spacious and the bed comfortable. Shower has good pressure and bathroom a good size. There’s a fridge, kettle, microwave and toaster in the room too. However the location is close to the busy road also so can be noisy. The motel does need attention as it is tired looking and dated. The reception person was very helpful and gave us plenty of information. Parking is on site. Theres also a pool. The advertised bbq area is apparently not usable. We have stayed here a few times and will happily return as it suits our needs."

"This stay was for my dad and step mother, both are elderly they enjoyed the stay at the hotel it was convenient to everywhere and close to town. The rooms where very clean and comfortable. The friday and saturday they stayed they found the music was very loud and went to early hours of the morning. Otherwise the stay was great"

"Check in and out was easy and location was amazing. The cabin was great for a couple however the bedroom/bathroom set up was strange and we can’t understand why you would have the bathroom in the bedroom. Was also a bit annoying when the work cars came into the shed behind our cabin and started working at 6:30 in the morning when you’re trying to sleep and relax. We also lost sound on the tv one night and would have been nice to have more cutlery and crockery so we didn’t have to wash up everyday while on holiday"

"Although not yet refurbished our room was very good and didn't feel tired. Plenty of supplies, excellent location, albeit on a busy road (if you are a light sleeper this may not suit you), super friendly and helpful staff, thankyou Madi. Really nice lawn and pool area for spending some time outside and relaxing. Lovely simple and fresh continental breakfast. Highly recommend. Will be fantastic once the renovations are complete."
