We rented this property for 16 nights to enjoy working remotely and being close to downtown Kirkland. The description and pictures looked perfect to accomplish this. Before arriving, I confirmed with Vince Piedi, the owner, that the property had air conditioning and wifi which he replied, “yes, there is high-speed wifi and air conditioning.” When we arrived, there was no air conditioning in the unit. Being on the first floor, it is not acceptable or safe to leave doors and windows open, not to mention this is false advertising and misleading.
Additionally, several lights were burned out in both primary rooms; the ceiling fans were not operational, and the blinds (2 of 3) were broken and remained permanently down. It was hot and humid on the property. The shower curtain is covered in mildew. Vince Piedi sent a maintenance person, Diego, to change the light bulbs and fix the ceiling fans (days later and consuming our holiday time), and later showed up with a very loud mobile air unit that insufficiently cools the property and suggested using a box fan. A primary piece of lounge furniture represented in this property's pictures is not in the unit and is replaced with a wooden chair with a buckle hanging from underneath it.
There was long black hair all over the bathroom and the bathroom sink is slow to drain. The coffee maker does not work right. The deck furniture is missing cushions on both chairs and has a bag of loose potting soil on the deck.
This is a complete misrepresentation of the property and a false and misleading experience. The automatic lock to the primary door works ad hoc. I am still waiting for VRBO to address this issue. This is a complete disappointment and not a good reflection of VRBO and the app's honest and customer-centric property owners."
