We definitely had some surprises upon entering the property. You don’t know what to expect before hand because you don’t get check in instructions until the day of your stay. We didn’t know we would have to navigate 4 flights of stairs to get to the room. Luckily we were physically able. We also didn’t expect a shred bathroom situation. We did not know the bathroom was not going to be in our room. The walls were very thin I could hear the people in the next room talking very clearly while I was in the bathroom. We were only needing a place to sleep after a Seahawks game but if I had to stay any longer I would not have been happy. Now the room and bathroom were very clean. However it was hot in the room with only a small fan to cool you. I would not book this this property again, but it worked for what I needed at that time.

Paper thin walls with a hostel vibe

This spot seems popular with a younger crowd. If you’re clumsy like me, you won’t love the stairs (tight square spiral to drag your luggage up). I was there for a concert that let out around midnight, and we’d brought some groceries to make a late dinner. One of the rules is after 10 pm you can’t use the kitchen. Not great. But I get it. Sound really travels in the space. Walls seemed paper thin. The other guests were loud- it wasn’t bad they were just having fun. But you could hear every word. Digital locks on shared bathrooms- one on each floor that served for two bedrooms. No parking (we drove). After one night we chose to leave early and find other accommodations. This is NOT a spot I would recommend for a romantic getaway, landing pad for after an event, or quiet space for a business trip. I would recommend this space for students who don’t mind noise and are traveling light. Our host was good about communication. The location was good but still overpriced for the experience.

great view of mountains, loved neighborhood, up 4 flights no elevator, shared bathroom

the neighborhood is wonderful for walkers like me. Walk north a few blocks and you are in Volunteer Park. Walk southeast a couple blocks and get your nails done, go out for dinner or enjoy your choice of coffee shops. due southish it is about 8-10 block walk to the metro ( capitol hill metro) . it is a shared bath, and up 4 flights of stairs. the bed is on a platform 6 inches off the ground. nice windows. next door to the outdoor roof patio where i was able to enjoy the mountains. the washer/dryer and shared kitchen are on first floor. Basic room with 3 foot closet. I love tge neighborhood and the price.

Unsafe and Dirty

When we arrived at the property and turned the door handle it entirely fell off. Half empty liquor bottles, cups and food everywhere. When we reached out to the host for assistance they told us it’s a shared space so they can’t do anything.
