Luxury Apartment Living
Awesome apartment. TV is ready to watch anything; heated floors in the bathroom; super comfy bed; lots of room; convenient to sites and shopping; and they stopped by every day to check on us. The ceramic convection burner was a little touchy and difficult to get just right. Practically perfect!

This was the perfect location for me. It's off the highway but after spending a whole day exploring Iceland this was right where I needed it to be. It's not close to a gas station that I know of or grocery store but I managed to pick all that up before I left. I walked in and the place smelled like it was nearly renovated or something. It was great! I loved walking out the door in the morning and seeing that view of the mountains.

Das Apartment schien sehr neu und war in einem super Zustand. Wir hatten zu zweit viel Platz und alles, was wir für einen Kurzaufenthalt benötigt haben. Der Parkplatz direkt vor der Tür war super praktisch und der weite Ausblick vom Esstisch super schön.

Wonderful stay! Lots of little amenities that made a difference (wash clothes, coffee/tea, kitchen stocked sufficiently). Easy to access. Lots of room for a family of 4. Maybe a slightly larger fan since no screens on windows and didn’t want to be bitten at night.

Hood apartment, poor communication
Overall a nice stay. Couldn't open windows because of bugs but it was super hot in the room even wuth the fan on. Apartment was nice otherwise for our family of 4. Communication was poor regarding checkin. I emailed 24 hours agead requesting info as we wouldn't have wifi when we got there. No response and no instructions upon arrival. Luckily we found a worker/owner renovating 1 of the apartments to give us access to our room.

Nice apartment. Comfortable beds. Adequate kitchen. It was hard to find initially but we arrived at night and it is in the middle of nowhere. But the middle of nowhere is gorgeous and that is typical of Iceland away from Reykjavik. The manager was very accommodating and checked in with us the day after we arrived.

Our children where sick during the 3 days we stayed at this accommodation. One of them even puked on the door step when we arrived. The owners where very understanding and even cleaned it up for us, later also washed our clothes for a small fee. Since we couldn’t go out much we spend a lot of time in the apartment which was not punishment at all. The kitchen is well equipped and there are even small amounts of coffee, thee, milk/sugar which we found great since you don't need to buy bigger packs of it which you will in the end mostly need to throw in the waste if it doesn’t fit in your suitcase. Environmental friendly! The view from the dining table is great. Comfy beds! They are expanding the building to double the amount of apartments. Even though we had the first room directly connected with the new apartments the construction works didn’t disturb at all. For shopping you need to drive ~20 minutes to Selfoss but there is a swimmingpool directly behind the apartments you can use for 1000 isk. Out of the season the opening hours are limited though. The only thing that could maybe be fixed or at least taken into account for the apartments being build is that the floor is very noisy when walked on. This was noticeable for us in particular since we had to move around with the children sleeping. While checking out, the lady that came to the apartments every day to clean up and check if all is ok, came to ask how our children are. Thank you!

Very convenient and the unit had a well equipped kitchen. My only issue was the lack of climate control (not a big deal in and of itself) as it meant having to keep the windows open when the unit is located near a relatively active intersection - alternating between dead quiet and cars.

Appart tout équipé en pleine nature
Petit appart en bord d une route. Il y a tout le confort necessaire. La route n est pas bruyante le soir et la nuit. Check-in facile avec le code, cuisine équipée avec même les produits de base (sel, sopalin...), lits confortables, sdb grande et pratique. Le lieu est central pour rester quelques jours et faire des visites du cercle d or. Le magasin le plus proche est à selfoss (24 kms), en prévoyant, c est chouette d être loin de tout ! Excellent rapport qualité / prix !
