Royal Horizon Baobab - All inclusive

"I significantly decrease my rating for the place, because as usual I learned that with politeness you get nowhere in Royal Baobab. Garden is beautiful, food is ok, beach is nice. That all stays. The workers there are awesome people. But as well stays that the weakest point of the facility is "management" staff. I faced unpleasant problem: in my room, there was only hot, boiling water getting out of the taps. No cold one. As we arrived little late, I left it to morning (might be some lack of water, or might solve itself.. TIA), but being there with little baby, it started to be serious problem. I attended twice Reception and once - I guess cleaners manager - during the day, but only achived that arriving maintenace stated "low pressure" without further action. I spent all day trying to sort out crap that is not my issue, so when came really agitated at 18:00, unable to wash my tiny kid and as well not able to reach any conclusion, one of reception staff had audacity to lecture me about my attitude. I guess that considering the price and the fact I was more than polite for the whole day without hygiene, this is beyond any red line. I did as well heard in one moment, that reception staff is not responsible for that. Sorry. You are. Majority of staff is awesome in this place, they do their job awesomly. But management just sucks. If you do not need specific (larger) room, I recommend any comptetition, or just AirB&B, will be not disappointed."

"I had a fantastic stay at this hotel and would absolutely stay here again. From the moment I arrived, I felt safe, comfortable, and well taken care of. Security is excellent—you are screened each time you enter the property, which gave me peace of mind throughout my stay. The staff were phenomenal. Everyone was welcoming, professional, and eager to help. One of the bell staff recommended a local tour guide, and that recommendation became one of the highlights of my trip. I completed two tours with the guide and had an amazing experience. The hotel itself is very high-end, and the atmosphere was relaxed and professional. Having an ATM on-site was also very convenient. My room was excellent, with a beautiful view and every amenity I needed. Housekeeping was outstanding, and everything was consistently clean and well maintained. The dining options were great as well. I enjoyed both the main restaurant and the pool area across the street, which offered beach views, music, games, comfortable daybeds, and a full food and drink menu. The only drawback for me was the spa. Most of the staff I encountered there spoke French but limited English, and I wasn’t comfortable booking services without being able to communicate clearly. Overall, this was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had. The service, security, amenities, and atmosphere were outstanding. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Dakar."

"The cleaning staff were absolutely horrible. I had to beg for towels and cleaning products. However, the reception staff were helpful to restore some sanity. They went above and beyond to aid me during a GI illness during my trip. Kudos to them! Should fire all cleaning staff immediately. They were rude and obnoxious."
