Small but pleasant rooms with a big tv, and big bathroom/shower. Staff is super friendly and will give you an adapter for the electric outlets if you ask. Was a lot nicer staying here than a typical cheap budget hotel.

Great location where subway was easy to get to. Nicest staff and yummy free cappuccinos in reception area. Occasional food or sewar smell drifted into our room but was able to use air cleaner to clear.

You get what you pay for. Very walkable distance from everything. Room was falling apart. Calking around the tub was peeling and molding. Hair from previous guest on counters. No ventilation in bathroom and mini fridge was not working. The description of the hotel says restaurant, breakfat and room service. None of these are available. They should update the info so at least guests know what they're getting.

Staff are very nice and helpful, Front desk has a small cafe, provide good cappuccino and sitting area. Close to many bus lines, not super close to subway station but still walkable, many good choices of restaurant and two large department stores (Lotte and Shisegar) near by for easy shopping/food court. Wet bathroom may be the only downside but no biggie.

Top notch customer service!
Really love the convenience of the hotel - very close to the station, airport bus stop, convenience store nearby and 24 hours dining within walking distance of the Hotel. What made our stay memorable was the customer service - they are always happy to help! Highly recommended! Room is really small but you get what paid for.

We just got back from a 9 days Seoul trip n bunk in Hotel Mido with a group of 6 adults taking only 2 rooms .. The rooms are not exactly huge but definitely cosy for 3 to crash in for a budget travel .. We are fairly surprise when the hotel allow us to take in 3 adults in each room which help us save alot .. Staffs are ever friendly, helpful n ready to help ..Rooms are clean n basic needs met. . We have no complaints since we were out most of the hours n the location is convenient to popular Myeongdong by walking distance with lots of convenient stores n small eateries spoilt for choices .. Kamsahamida. 🙇‍♀️

Pros: It was very convenient to go here, line 4. very close to myeongdong market. Cons: The room didn't feel clean, dusty and it took 3 hours of AC for the air to become breathable.

Good for the price
The hotel is very conveniently located near good restaurants and the subway. The bathroom ans shower head could have been cleaner, but overall, everything matches the price you pay. The double bed room is very small so be aware of that.

Good econmical choice
This a good economical option to be close to Myeongdong and the subway. Daily housekeeping. Not top notch, but a good choice. Refrigerator in the room.

Great budget hotel
We stayed for 4 nights. Hotel is in the central of Myeong-dong. A lot of shops everywhere. Walking distance to Namdaenum market. Lots of food to try and yummy. Staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely book again. Thanks

It’s an average rate, I’m disappointed with their advertisement at Expedia that there will be a free breakfast and that’s one of the reasons why I chose this hotel over other hotels But when I asked the receptionist, he told me that they don’t provide breakfast. The bathroom was kind of disappointed too because when we took shower, all the bathroom floor was wet, no separation between shower room and toilet bowl.

Like : its location. Central to Namdaemun, Myeongdong street, halal restaurant (kampungku), 5min walk to coin laundry. Staff is friendly. Daily housekeeping. Dislike : no breakfast as mentioned, room feels abit dirty, staff came late so we had to wait when check in, feel unsafe as its back entrance is at an alley where anyone can just enter.

Mido hotel is situation in the station right between Myeong-dong, I would say it's a prime location. There're also a few restaurants and a convenient store outside of the hotel. I must also reveal there's a lift to the level to the subway station!! Of course you still need to carry your luggage, walk the stairs to the track but using the lift will enable you to walk much less staircase :) If you are taking the bus from the airport, the stop to get we off is Namdaemun Market street. There was no hot water supply on the last day of my stay. I used cold water to shower (just half shower, can't be whole body). My flight is 4hrs flight time so I can wait until I get home. But I know it could be hard if it happens during a vacation especially in December. One thing I have to especially point out and compliment the front desk staff, the morning shift one in particular, they helped me to contact the airport bus operator and locate the luggage I left on the bus. The extra effort and attention is something I highly appreciated. To be honest, because of the hospitality and helpfulness of the hotel staff, even if there's no hot water, I would still recommend tourists to stay and I, myself, would like to stay there again. Because, as a solo traveller and in a foreign country, their great attitude to look after you certainly is a tremendous asset.

Great value, location, and owner
Location by Changgyecheong is wonderful the river is only 1 minute away. Or if you want to walk along Jongro and visit some of the older tourist sites in Seoul, you're only 5-10 minutes away. Mr. Kim was very helpful with our check in. He allowed us to "self check-in" by leaving the key in our room. He was a great communicator - contacting me after I made a reservation at the last minute in order to make our stay smoother. The room was clean and we were provided towels, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner. The shower did what showers do. The pipes below the sink were open so water gushed onto the floor when you turned on the tap. That was the only negative thing I can say about Kimstay. Location is amazing, the owner is great, and the price is absolutely unbeatable. My wife and I will stay here again.

Cons: Room was small, no windows. shower head was loose and leaky. water stains on the walls. ventilation is poor. air quality in room was terrible due to dirty air conditioner. blood? stains on the bed sheets. Pros: bottled water was provided daily, trash was cleaned daily, breakfast included some pastries, fruit, and juice. location was good and walkable to shopping areas.
