Welcome to "Base Camp," a newly remodeled and decorated 2 Bed | 2 Bath Sevierville vacation rental cabin that boasts breathtaking mountain views extending over the whole valley!  Base Camp offers you and your family a unique experience inspired by the outdoors.  Base Camp features a hand-painted mural, arcade, hot tub with mountain views, coffeemaker, Smart TVs, high-speed internet, level parking, and a master bedroom with a jacuzzi tub.

Everything was AMAZING!!!!

Everything was amazing. Views were amazing. Clean and comfy and the communication with the host was fast responding and efficient. I loved everything about it.

Beautiful view but needs lots of work

As we arrived Monday we were not able to get into the cabin after about 20 min finally got up with the owner and he gave us the code to get the key bc the door lock battery was dead. After entering the home we found out the water was off. Again we contacted him and after alittle while he messaged me back and said he would have to find a plumber. There was 4 of us and we had to wait till the next day around 11 till we had water. He didn’t seem like it mattered at all… took over a hour to message me back even after he knew there was problems. Fast forward to the water being fixed my son goes up stairs to get a shower and the water is pouring from the top railing down onto the floor. I contacted him again for his answer to be” well he must be standing outside the shower wet or left the shower curtain open” which was not the case bc he hadn’t even got in yet. So all of us had to use the shower down stairs. Even after letting him know he never responded after that. The hot tub was nice and relaxing after a long day. Does have a few broken spots on it that needs attention though. Also the grass was really tall and needed attention. Just a heads up for anyone looking at staying… for the price you pay might wanna keep looking. The view is great but wasn’t a relaxing vacation with so many issues to take care of.

View is very fabulous, I recommend to drive before dark, carry food and milk (if you want to eat cereal in the breakfast) because nobody wants to drive 30 min to the nearest store. We all enjoyed Hot tub, property owner is very prompt to respond. Wi-Fi is good. Sunset is very beautiful. Carry flashlights or candles - we had power outage for almost 4 hours. We went to "Forbidden caverns", "Clingmans Dome", Gatlinburg- we took tram that goes to uphill ($25 on Tripster), Pigen forge, and also some nearby falls. It was fun trip.

Would never stay here again

On the weeks coming up to our trip i tried to contact the property owner/manager and never received a response i was asking for the ability to pay off the rest of the trip early which was never able to happen because i never received a response. We were set to arrive on the 29th of April and when we arrived the check in date was changed to the 28th making us lose a day of our trip i was asked to provide a screenshot showing the original check in date but at that point the check in date was already changed so there was no way to provide that screenshot. I asked the host if it would be possible to get a partial refund for the lost days of our stay. But the host never responded. On top of all this when we arrived there were roaches on the floor bees everywhere and the front door was loose and was hard to lock so it was hard to feel safe while staying in this cabin. All in all this was a terrible experience and i would never stay here again

Such a lovely view!

Very nice place not far from Gatlinburg! But I will say it needs a bit more of cleaning done to it. Also water is leaking somewhere to the downstairs hall. Couldn’t figure out how to turn off the hot tub. Beds was comfy but itchy.

Not as expected

I didn’t realize from the description that you are on the peak of the mountain. It’s a 8-10 drive on one lane road up the mountain. Which the views are so gorgeous!!! How there was something sticky around the table on the floor. I mopped it twice and couldn’t get it up. I did notify the owner with no response. The refrigerator sounds like a rocket ship. It’s so loud I notified them it’s probably going out! I also notified them that there was gnats that flew out the sink tons of them! The walls are so thin. I heard my husband and daughters conversation while I was outside. My daughter literally walked across her floor upstairs to go to the bathroom and woke me up in the middle of the night! And there is gaps in the wall. If you’re in the bathroom downstairs, you can look through to the outside shining in. I would bring your own bedding because the bedding in the beds are not comfortable at all, and make lots of noise! Lastly, the hot tub has like four parts that were in the bottom of the hot tub where they broke off. It was nice to get away, but overall I give this place a three out of five stars.

INCREDIBLE MOUNTAIN VIEW!

What a mountain view! This little cabin was such a treat. It was clean and ready for our arrival. Our family would certainly stay at this location again. It was wonderful to hang out with family, play games, and cook meals together. We loved being together and this cabin provided us the opportunity reunite. We live 9 hours from each other, and this experience was such a blessing. A HIGHLY RECOMMENDED GET AWAY!!!! (Caution Steep Curvy Roads)

Beautiful Cabin with amazing view

Our stay was very comfortable and we had some breathtaking views. The cabin was kept very clean. Thanks for the earlier reviews which helped us to be more careful to drive up the mountain in daylight. Kids loved the upstairs bedroom with the gaming station. Internet was a little slow. We had very little time to spend in the cabin and wish to come back. Thanks.

Cute and quaint

We really enjoyed our stay. This place is in a quiet area, far enough from everyone to feel like you’ve gotten away but close enough to not feel like you’re driving all day to get anywhere. The road leading up the mountain to the cabin is definitely not for the faint of heart, so I let my husband drive back and forth while I kept my eyes closed! The kids really loved the hot tub and loft and we really enjoyed the view of the valley and lake in the distance (but it won’t be much of a view as the greenery continues to grow!). This place could really use some TLC, mostly in the form of a good deep cleaning, but overall we were happy to be there. We would recommend this place to anyone with kiddos :-)

Family Vacation 2023

I gave it a 4 star rating for the View, but was decent. But cabin deff needs some updates, especially cooking utensils and such. The roof leaks when it storms, and the windows. Hot tub get hot but doesn’t stay warm the whole cycle. Jetted tub in master doesn’t stay warm either. Also the upstairs tub leaks. Let property manager know about everything, little to no replys back.

It had a beautiful view. Climbing the mountain to get there was very difficult with the very sharp turns. Nearly impossible to drive at night. Had questions about the hot tub that never got answered, so we just stayed out of it. Overall, a good experience

Clean but average

Property was clean but had some maintenance issues. I emailed the property contact 3 times with no response and sent a text about them with no response. The drive up was long and glad my husband drove- lots of hairpin turns on a cliff edge made me anxious to drive. The kids loved the space- but the main bedroom will hear every creak from the loft above which made for some difficulties falling asleep.

Owner canceled never refunded the money canceled and hour past checkin at 4 pm..

We have never been refunded for a weekend stay it got canceled bc of no power and a tree down supposedly but our kids got through just fine arrived like we were suppose to to a dirty place no water in the hot tub no electricity now he won't refund us says it takes two weeks and hes charging us for one night... This weekend was a mess. I feel like Travis should have dealt with this situation better!!!!!

Awesome view!

My family enjoyed our stay here for spring break! The view is unbeatable. Communication with the renter was easy, his response was immediate when we called. I would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a place to stay near Pigeon Forge, the use of the loft is genius for families with several kids.

We felt like the 3 little bears who's house was about to be blown down. A winter storm hit the night we checked in and it was pretty sketchy in this cabin. The cabin is barely insulated and a poorly installed window meant cold air and snow all over the nearest bed. There were clear water stains on the walls, indicating this has happened before. You can hear every step anyone... even a 1 year old makes in the upstairs loft. Our older children could not sleep upstairs due to the noise and cold air. The decor is modern and cute but also a little dingy and gross up close. The kitchen was well stocked but not truly clean...wiped down maybe. There was grease on microwave vent, green paint chipping on the cabinets and drawers. Crumbs under everything. The jets in the master bathtub were gross with old hard water stains and gunk, and the drain didn't plug provided doesn't close even if you did want to use the bath. Then the internet and heat quit working. I contacted Travis who not once offered an apology or any solution.... just told me he was waiting on the HVAC tech to give him an ETA. With the outside temp at 3 degrees and no urgency from Travis to have the heat fixed....no fireplace in the home and no offer of space heaters or similar, we were forced to move SIX children, all of our Christmas presents and belongings to a new cabin on the day before Christmas eve. Again NO APOLOGIES from Travis. He stopped answering calls and texts after assuring me I'd receive a refund. I have not received a refund.

Base Camp

This was just what we needed to unplug and unwind. The views were spectacular and the cabin was exactly as described. It is at the top of the mountain and the kids enjoyed the drive up and down each day. The cabin was clean and came with a welcome bag that had popcorn, waters, granola bars, laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, hand soap and plenty of towels. The loft was perfect for our children and they loved looking over the edge to “spy” on us. LOL. Due to a fire on a different mountain, our internet went out for about 48hrs but it gave us time to play games, talk, and truly enjoy each other’s company. We took a walk up the part of the mountain that is being logged and cleared 4 nights and never worried about the children getting hit by vehicles or attacked by animals. It was peaceful. The cabin came fully equipped with appliances to prepare meals, although we didn’t use any of them. There was also plenty of pillows, an arcade game system, and a hot tub. The king size bed is low and a VERY firm mattress, but definitely not a deal breaker. We would highly recommend this vacation rental.
