The property overlooks a beautiful lake where we enjoyed seeing the geese, a crane, and even a turkey visit. The house provided great space for us and our dogs. The kids loved the game room. It is a convenient getaway with Shelby just a few minutes away and Gardner-Webb University being about 25 minutes away. Definitely will come back.

Hosts were very accommodating and communicative. Property is well stocked and as shown online. Definitely would return if I am in the area.

Overall, the property can be a great place, but some serious updates are needed to get there. The most concerning of the stay was the lack of central heat/air. Minus the new mini split in the dining room, the entire place was heated using space heaters. We set the fire alarm off twice and we nearly froze to death each night. Cable was intermittent at best throughout the stay. The TV in the master bed room did not have a remote to turn on and you could not see the TV while laying in the bed due to the high footboard. The kitchen sink would just start running on it's own, and the dishwasher almost fell out of the cabinet when opening. The stove kept shutting off when we tried to reheat something in the oven. There is a large hole in the wall between two of the spare bedrooms, at the left of the house after entering. The outlets do not work in the spare bathroom. Overall, it could be great but not quite there yet. The free muffins, popcorn, and coffee were very much appreciated. And we enjoyed the pool table! It was too cold to really do anything else.

The home was nice and cozy sitting on lake Moss. The hospitality of the owners was phenomenal. We had muffins, cheese tray, salami slices, and a nice gift of coffee waiting upon our arrival. The home was very spacious for our family of 8 (5 adults and 3 children) and all the amenities we needed. Although it rained the majority of our visit, the inside of the home with it's game room, game boards, open floor layout for socializing and cooking around the island.

This was the perfect spot for our family. The lake and the property itself was more than we could have hoped for. It was ideal for all ages. The owners live next door and they are friendly yet unobtrusive. The owners left us a welcome platter of muffins, a lite cheese and meat platter, cold water and fresh ice. Every bed was super comfortable and we had enough space to do all kinds of activities. From the friendly kitty cat to the cute chickens and the Lake. You can tell how much love goes into this. We loved it.
