PSA: THIS PROPERTY IS NOT PRIVATE OR WATERFRONT

The property listing is disappointingly deceptive and falsely pictured. They fail to mention of the shared nature of all spaces overlooking the water. You will have to walk onto the grounds of the property owner’s home and walk down a path along side their house to access the grassy area with chairs overlooking the water. It feels like you’re completely on display and is anything but private or relaxing if you’re anticipating a private getaway. The interior of the space is as described and nothing to write home about. There are no screens on any of the windows so it was quite warm on the second floor sleeping area in the summertime. It would be nice to have been able to open the windows for some fresh air. The mini-split A/C unit is on the ground floor level. There also is no real view of water from this stay. You will be looking out over the grassy lawn, trees, the owners home, and a small area with a peekaboo water view mainly obscured by the trees and underbrush. 5 out of the 30 photos on the listing portray the property as right on the water with expansive views of the cove, but that is completely inaccurate. I’m unsure what shared ‘beach access’ they mention because there is no obvious beach access from the property, though we weren’t inclined to explore around much because of the awkwardness of tromping around the owners space. These details should absolutely be included in the listing, so Vacasa customers can make informed decisions and not be lured into deceptive stays that lead to unnecessary stress or dissatisfaction for guests and property owners.
