The amenities listed were not as advertised. There was no onsite laundry - we had to go to a laundromat and several of them in the area were closed. We also did not have a microwave. The host was lovely and everything else was great, but we chose this location specifically for laundry and a microwave to help with food costs.

If you want an authentic experience in the heart of Siena but in a quieter part of the old town, then this place is highly recommended. Very accommodating for people renting cars and other forms of travel. Super close to all the amazing things to see in town and well as in the Tuscan countryside if you are driving. Overall AC works well and have all the amenities you might need if planning to cook. I will never forget this experience!

Great location in old Siena

The apartment is exactly as listed. It’s not big but had everything we needed for 4 days in Siena. The stairs to the apartment are steep and narrow, but this was expected. The property manager was very helpful and easy to work with.

Charm & Location with some caution

This apartment is right in the medieval part of Siena and not far from the attractions. So it's got loads of charm and antiquity appeal, and we enjoyed that very much. We are in our 80s, but probably better shape than many at our age, so we can't really recommend it to older folks because there are quite a few steps up, pretty as they are. It is a comfortable place, though as usual the bathroom is adapted in a place that was not intended way back when it was built, and is thus pretty small. But everything functions as it should. By the way, the Tre Cristy restaurant is just around the corner and has all three: great food, excellent staff, and ambience PLUS!

Too expensive for „shabby-chic“

My wife and I spent 4 weeks in the appartement. From internet information provided, we expected a solid standard worth 100/night like in any well-run hotel, agriturismo, etc. However, many „little“ defekts bring us to the conclusion that the rent charged is at hotel-level, but nothing has been done recently to keep the apartment quality up. For example: Windows and doors don‘t shut properly, furniture handles are broken or missing, poor light/lamp at the dining table, there is not really space for the microwave oven (you find it stowed away in the dormitory wardrobe), television can‘t be used as the signal cable plug is missing, the „second little bedroom“ (for children?) is not at all suitable as a bedroom, but only to stow away suitcases, etc. Conclusion: Our month‘s rent left alone is more than sufficient to fix all these „little defekts“ and overcome the shabby-chic impression. We suggest the owner should spend a couple of days him/herself living in the appartment and invest accordingly.e

Amazing Apartment Incredible location

This apartment was exactly as advertised and we loved it. The location was in a quiet local neighborhood yet never seemed more than a 10 minute walk from anywhere. Just over a block away there was a small supermarket, laudromat and a few restaurants including the Irishman, an Irish pub that had hamburgers and chicken wings. Our hostesses were very knowledgeable and helpful, before we left home we received a lot of helpful information. Highly highly recommend. It will not disappoint.

Beautiful place in great location

We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment is within walking distance of everything in central Siena. Very good restaurants, grocery, shops, and so on, right there. The manager Sabine was wonderful to have and made our stay even more enjoyable.

Nice stay

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this apartment in Siena. Well located with just a short walk the the central piazza and restaurants and shops just a stones throw away. Sabina was very flexible allowing us to bring forward our arrival time and explained very well the facilities. Thank you.

Perfect place near all of Siena attractions

This place is a cute nest, perfect for two adults (possible to host a small child, 3 persons total). As shown on the pictures, fully equiped kitchen (with linen, soap for the dishes and more linen if needed). We had 3 nights. 30 minutes walking distance from the train station. Lots and lots of restaurants near, and small grocery stores as well. If we were to come back to Siena, we’d return at this apartment for sure.

Sienna VRBO experience

We absolutely loved this apartment. The centuries old architecture was magnificent. While it states that the apt is on the 3rd floor, we weren't quite prepared for the 36 steep steps with 40 pound suitcases. It might be even more difficult for someone older. While we recognize that the electrical isn't 21st century, a coffepot was sorely missed. We would recommend this apt to anyone who is able to do the stairs and wants to immerse themselves in the Senese culture. We LOVED our stay!!

NOT FOR ADULTS stay clear of this deceptive listing

This home was lovely in theory, but they list the property as a TWO BEDROOM WHICH IT IS NOT!!!! It has one very uncomfortable bed in the “master suite” and then a Harry Potter esque loft that they lost as the second bedroom. However upon arrival they informed us that it was not fit for adults so they didn’t even put sheets on it! EVEN THOUGH WE REACHED OUT FOR CONFIRMATION OF THE ACCOMMODATIONS BEFORE WE LEFT USA! Unless you are a single traveler or a couple traveling with a small child THIS HOME IS NOT FOR YOU!!! I usually have great experiences with VRBO but this stay was a NIGHTMARE!!! I highly recommend staying at any of the other fantastic Siena accommodations! Steer clear of the deceptive listing!!

This is a very nice, clean apartment, within walking distance of everything I wanted to see in Siena. Great central location. Nicely decorated and had everything available to make a comfortable stay. I spent a wonderful day finding local artisan shops from a pamphlet I found in the apartment. Would recommend to friends!

Clean and central

Five minute walk to the Campo. Clean, stocked with basic necessities for cooking. Do not book if you have trouble with stairs or a lot of heavy/large luggage. The owner was easy to contact. We would stay here again.

My Stay in Siena

My stay in Siena was entirely a positive one, thanks in a big part to the location of this apartment. The apt is off the beaten path on a quiet street, yet close enough to reach the Campo in 10-15 minutes. The apt which is tucked into the top floor of an old building and reached via narrow and steep stairs (as noted in the listing), is small but charming with an interesting layout. Plenty of hot water, I was happy to find, as well as fully-functional air conditioners in both rooms. The host met me at the apt as promised and was incredibly friendly and responsive to my emails when needed. I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely apartment in a quiet neighborhood

The apartment was very comfortable and not far from the major sites; we walked everywhere. The neighborhood was very quiet, which was very welcome, after our time in Florence with much street noise at night. The bed was very comfortable and if it got too hot, the air conditioning cooled the room nicely. Check in was easy, as was communication with our host. We would definitely stay here again.
