Room 406 in Rainforest Wing. All was fine until it started to rain… We caught the train from our hotel in downtown Singapore then went to taxi rank but realised you sat there only after you have booked a cab. A free bus arrived near the rank and we ran and asked if it went near the hotel. Yes! Jumped on with suitcases, not easy, got out at shopping centre (only stop) walked in on ground floor and followed signs to hotel, then the signs just stop. Seems you need to go up to next floor to continue to hotel. Finally did that. Then walked and walked, undercover, looking for reception sign. None. Asked a staff cleaner. “Turn left at room 132”. Did that, then ended up near bike hire. Lovely bike hire guy asks if we are looking for reception. Catch lift up to unsigned reception. Room large, spotlessly clean bathroom. We weren’t there for the waterpark, luckily as it is closed on Tuesdays, but for the beach. By now it’s pouring. Walk back to shopping ctr undercover for dinner, heaps of choices… Get back to room. Pelting with rain and we worked out the downpipes were at both ends of our floor to ceiling window. The noise was phenomenal. You have to talk loudly to hear each other!!! So if it doesn’t rain and you arrive by taxi at reception, then this is a good hotel.
