Library of Celsus, built in 114-117 AD The city was first a Greek city about 1000 BCE, but the Romans turned it into the chief port on the Aegean. Ephesus is one of the greatest and most preserved ruins in the Mediterranean. If you go early it's not too hot and not too crowed. It is one of the major tourist stops in Turkey, but it's still worth a visit.

A really cool small Turkish town about half hour outside of Selçuk. The town has traditional old turkish houses and was a neat place to walk around for a half day adventure
Cobbled stone paths will take you to a charming Greek village.
Beautiful terrace houses and lots of shops here. A nice place to visit while in Selcuk
