Gorgeous View Cabin- Pet Friendly, Hot Tub, Firepit, WiFi

Welcome to `Gorgeous View Cabin`, a newly renovated, two-story, loft-style cabin that sleeps 7, nestled high over the Red River Gorge. “Gorgeous View” is no misnomer--enjoy amazing panoramic views of area rock formations (best viewed when the leaves have fallen) from the comfort of a new wrap-around porch, complete with patio furniture and a toasty hot tub. Located only 10 minutes from some amazing hiking opportunities, this is not a cabin you’ll want to miss!

- Gorgeous View Cabin is pet friendly however pet fee of $100 does not show in total balance. We have a $100 pet fee that covers up to 2 dogs. Please contact directly after booking to add this $100 fee.
- Amenities include a fully equipped kitchen (standard coffee maker and microwave), free WiFi, private hot tub, flat-screen TV with DirecTV, DVD player, gas fireplace, charcoal grill, outdoor fire pit, and Washer/Dryer. *Please note the foosball table pictured has been removed.
- Sleeping Arrangements: Bedroom 1: Queen Bed | Bedroom 2: Twin Bunk Beds | Loft: Queen Bed | Air Mattress

- We provide fresh linens and towels. We also include essential starter packs to make your stay easier! (Starter packs include: 2 rolls of toilet paper, 2 rolls of paper towels, 3 shampoos and conditioners, 3 bar soaps, 3 laundry pods, 3 trash bags, and 1 sponge.) You will also need to bring your own firewood and charcoal for the grill. Please purchase firewood locally.
- Please note that a 4-wheel drive is highly recommended. The cabin is located up a steep hill. Limited parking; vehicles exceeding 2 please park at the local park and ride and carpool to the cabin. Trailers prohibited.
- Prime Red River Gorge location - Close to hiking, horseback riding, rock climbing, kayaking, canoeing, zip lines, sight-seeing, restaurants, and much more.

- Dogs permitted with $100 fee. (Dogs only; maximum 2 allowed. Dogs need to be crated if left at the property alone.) Pet fee does not automatically add to your balance, please contact us to apply after booking.
- Please contact us as soon as possible if you must cancel or reschedule your stay. No refunds or date modifications within 14 days or less of your arrival.
- No refunds are permitted due to weather. No exceptions. Winter weather (snow/ice) and flooding can occur in our area. You should be given the option to add Trip Insurance at booking check-out.
- Please be aware that no refunds are permitted for cancellations on holiday rates, which includes but is not limited to, New Year’s, Valentine`s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

  • Standing under the Natural Bridge in Slade Kentucky. Its namesake natural bridge is the centerpiece of the park. The natural sandstone arch spans 78 ft (24 m) and is 65 ft (20 m) high. The natural process of weathering formed the arch over millions of years. The park is approximately 2,300 acres (9 km2) of which approximately 1,200 acres (5 km2) is dedicated by the Office of Kentucky Nature Preserves as a nature preserve. #Nature

You first walk across the top of the arch, it is so big that you are halfway across before you notice your not just on a narrow rock path. then you circle around to be under the arch.

the view was gorgeous, the cabin layout and ameneties were great as well. It was a shame however that this was tainted by the cleanleness of the cabin. I do I understand we are staying in a cabin and it is more rustic. However we found lots of mouse droppings and hair tumbleweeds (from I am guessing a dog that stayed previously).

We loved this little cabin on the top of the mountain… it was cute, relaxing and had all we needed. We couldn’t figure out how to use the tv but other then that we had a great time in a great location.. surrounded by awesome hiking and great home town restaurants… thank you

TERRIBLE RODENT PROBLEM AND COSTUMER SUPPORT WAS AWFUL!!Me and 5 friends booked the cabin for 3 days (2 nights). Check in was supposed tk be 4pm but they waited until 3:45 to tell us the cabin was not ready and would take an additional hour. This alone is only a minor inconvenience and can be overlooked as once we were inside the cabin it was clean. The next day we go to leave our cabin to start a hike when we realize we forgot some items in the cabin. When we tried to enter the cabin again we realized that one of us locked the doorknob and not just the deadbolt

The house wasn't clean the house has spider webs everywhere where they did not clean the walls the front porch wasn't cleaned off. Last year's leaves everything just was terrible the lining was not clean the house smelled very very old we had to go by our own sheets to use while we were there. The pictures that they show for this house does the house no justice once you see the house.

Great Getaway

The cabin is wonderful! Very comfortable. The owners were kind enough to give us a late check out to accommodate a funeral we needed to attend. The outdoor space is wonderful as well and we were able to use the hot tub while visiting.

Don’t do it!

This cabin is outdated with multiple items in need or repair. Most if those could be overlooked…but the cleanliness issues cannot be. The highlight areas were clean. Sinks toilets, mostly pretty good. The loft bedroom has huge cobwebs hanging from the walls and fixtures. The power button on the upstairs tub is broken. The bar of soap from the previous guest was still perched on the tub rail. The hot tub was in good working order, and the price was good. But I searched lots of other similar priced properties….my advice, try something else.

Great getaway cabin

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It was mostly private (a few other cabins within eyesight). The cabin was clean and well kept when we arrived. The kitchen had most of the utensils that we needed to make our meals and had some available spices. The hot-tub was clean and fairly private. I would recommend to bring an extra role of toilet paper as there are only two smaller roles provided. The downstairs shower was a little tricky to figure out but for future renters, the temperatures are opposite (give it a while to heat up and the hot side is the closest setting to turning the water off). Overall the cabin had great amenities and was very comfortable.

Excellent directions!! Large flat area to park the vehicle- Rental was very clean. Lots of hiking trails requiring multiple skill levels in the area. Interesting boat tour. Several good restaurants in the immediate area. Only complaint was the TV was difficult to access for non tech savvy person.

Nice place for a visit-- very comfortable and close to local attractions. It is a very steep drive and there isn't a view despite its name "Gorgeous View". Overall, we were pleased with everything!

Good and bad to this stay. Lots of banging from roof. A log fell and shattered my sunroof. The pics were outdated and not what was in the cabin. The linen smelled dirty and unwashed. There wasn't a view to be seen which is misleading for the cabin name. Hot tub was clean which was nice.

Great!

Great place! Only bad side is that the couch smelled musty and moldy, but I covered it with a sheet and couldn’t tell after that. Really enjoyed my stay otherwise! P.s. if you’re staying here in the fall be ready for the acorns to fall off the tree and hit the tin roof of the cabin all night long 😅
